I had a great experience at Popeyes thanks to Jerelin and Jahlexi! Their customer service was amazing — they were friendly, patient, and made sure my order was perfect. It’s rare to see employees who really care about making customers feel welcome, but they definitely went above and beyond. Give them their flowers — they deserve it!

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I’ve ordered from here 5th st highway, Reading, PA, many times before and have never had an issue. However, today (12/12/2025) I placed an order through DoorDash and my order arrived missing two orders of boneless wings.
I called the store to report the issue, and a young woman answered. After I explained what was missing, I heard a boy in the background say, “I’m going to spit on it.” Immediately after that, the employee hung up on me.
I called back calmly and explained that I heard what was said and that it was extremely unprofessional. I asked for the boy’s name, and she told me she couldn’t give it to me because he was “underage.” I then asked why an underage employee would be working there, and she continued to argue back and forth with me. She also refused to provide her own name.
I will absolutely be speaking with a manager about this inappropriate and unacceptable behavior from both employees. While she did offer a refund or a remake, I declined the replacement because I no longer felt comfortable eating food prepared by staff who would make comments like that.
Due to the unprofessional and disturbing behavior I experienced, I will not be ordering from this location again.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to Marielys at Popeyes—she’s hands down the best worker there. Her energy is unmatched, her service is fast and friendly, and she treats every customer like they matter. You can tell she takes pride in her work, and it makes the whole experience better. If you stop by, hope you get Marielys—she’s the reason I’ll keep coming back!

While service was excellent, food was not. The chicken sandwich had way to much mayo on it. On top of that, the mayo was stale. The fries were not the greatest either. Will not go to this location again, will stick to Sinking Spring location

The Popeyes from 5th street is not my choice. They give you pieces that are pure flour instead of the actual meat with it. Cold chicken and biscuit a bit hard and cold. They charged me twice knowing it was their fault and never gave me a refund for it. Employees with attitude, using foul language and talking and playing around too much instead of actually working. (The best Popeyes is in Penn ave. They make it fresh, juicy and the food taste 1000x better. Great atmosphere and respectful, working employees).
