The chicken quality when we ate was not great and seemed like it had been in a warmer for some time. The pizza was very good! Service was average for a place like this.
Very family friendly with an arcade. It was noisy with all the children bustling around.
I ate here on a Thursday night and it was VERY good. I was blown away by how good the chicken was on a pizza buffet. Once. I was impressed once. I went for the two. Oops.
My husband and I thought that it would be really good on a Sunday. Oh, how woefully wrong I was.
It was crowded. It’s a Sunday. That’s a good sign. Right? Right?!
I noticed that people were crowding around the salad bar and the pizza buffet, but essentially avoiding the hot bar where the fried chicken is kept. I could not understand why, until it was time for me to eat my chicken. There was a lady who was putting out “new” chicken, but it looked like it had been left in the fryer about 10 minutes too long. No one would touch it. So, we asked what was wrong with the chicken. She freely told us the oil was old.
Then, not five minutes later, the manager came to my table. Oh, thank goodness. Maybe he could help?
No such luck. In his EXACT WORDS, “That’s what happens when the fryer oil gets to the end of its life, but the chicken still eats good. I can go get them to drop you some more chicken.”
No sir, no. That oil was OLD, And why are we discussing your fryer oil like we’re going to have a wake for it?
You AND the kitchen staff said it’s old and then just kept on going like it’s nothing.
Then, rather than talk to me about the food quality, he walked away. I wish I was making that up. The man cut himself off in mid-sentence and walked away! We were not being rude. We did not ask for a special favor or our money back. We simply asked about the old grease and the difference in quality from day to day in the same restaurant.
We left. Gross.
I watched an entire table of teenage boys make laps to that buffet with frowns on their faces, because they could not eat fried chicken. They were forced to eat pizza and mashed potatoes, because the chicken is not fit for human consumption.
However, if you want fresh chicken and hot pizza, I have been assured that Monday is the day to do it! There is a silver lining.
