Reviews
Wedge Blue Cheese Salad : very good
Ahi Crunch Salad: tasty, flavorful…you won’t be disappointed.
Jambalaya: super tasty
Beer : BJs Blonde – perfect choice
Service: 10/10
10/10 would recommend, I will be going back, you need to go to BJ’s
Items we ordered:
– Ahi tuna salad. It was okay but there was a wasabi sauce that was way too intense and caught us by surprise. It was a pretty big salad but there wasn’t that much tuna compared to the rest of the ingredients. Overall, it was good.
– Pretzel. It wasn’t worth the price but the beer cheese was okay.
– Standard beer flight. No substitutions were allowed but when they came back with the flight they said they didn’t have one of the beers and exchanged it with a different one. The beer they didn’t have was the one we actually wanted and it would have been nice to be notified instead of just picking a different beer for us. Especially when you consider we asked about substitutions. Also, one of the beers was skunked but they replaced it.
– Watermelon mojito. It was good but a little sweet and didn’t have much alcohol.
– Original pizookie. It was delicious and only $5 on Tuesdays.
So what we have here is a restaurant that cannot plan for major holidays. It is a place that takes on more orders that its kitchen staff can handle, and passes the blame onto the delivery driver for its own staff failures.
I recommend all delivery drivers give this place a wide berth. The quality of the service has fallen by the wasteside at this place.
We understood that with a group of seven, there would be a wait, and that part was fine. Once seated, we were given water right away, but things went downhill quickly. Our server disappeared for nearly 10 minutes just to answer a simple question about hot cocoa, came back to take drink orders, and then walked away without even asking about appetizers.. We had to stop him and ask ourselves.
The real issue came after we ordered our food. We waited 45 minutes with no check-in, no updates, and dirty appetizer plates still sitting on the table. Our server kept passing by, glancing at us, but never stopping to communicate.
When we finally went up to ask what was going on, our food suddenly appeared… cold. Not warm, not lukewarm…cold. The fries were cold, the chicken on one sandwich was not fully cooked, another chicken dish was soggy and rubbery (and also cold), one plate had a hair in the food, and the broccoli looked old, as if it had been sitting around for days.
We asked for a manager multiple times, and no one came. Not one apology from any staff member. We eventually just gave up, asked for the check, and left. Our birthday girl didn’t even get to enjoy a pazooki.
For meals that cost around $30 each, the quality of the food and service was completely unacceptable. We left deeply upset and extremely disappointed.
