I was asked to pull forward and park during the drive-thru. When my order was brought out, the employee handed me a broken bag, which caused all the fries to spill inside my car. When I pointed this out, the employee told me that if I wanted new fries, I would have to reorder and pay again, even though the issue was clearly not my fault.
I asked to speak with a manager and the situation got worse. The manager still required me to pay for additional fries, took no responsibility for the mistake and then told me that if I didn’t want to move and park when instructed in the drive-thru, I could either get my order refund or they would call the police. That response was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
There are many McDonald’s locations in McKinney with much better customer service. This one stands out in a bad way. On top of everything, they never add salt to the fries, which seems minor, but it’s a consistent issue.
I will not be returning to this location.
“Fast food don’t mean forget the basics clean, quick, and correct.

I am writing to report a serious food safety issue that occurred on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at your restaurant located at 1810 W University, McKinney, TX 75069.
My son visited this location drive-through and brought home a Quarter Pounder meal for me. After taking my first bite, I immediately realized the burger patty was raw and bloody. I was alarmed and panicked, as consuming undercooked beef poses a serious health risk.
I tried calling the store several times, but there was no answer. Concerned for my health and wanting to report the issue promptly, I drove to the location with the food. Upon arriving, I discovered there was no way to enter the building, so I rang the bell at a side window. A young employee came to the window, and I explained the situation, asking to speak with a General Manager.
Another woman came to the window, but instead of receiving an apology or concern for the situation, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. She asked for my receipt without even addressing the food safety issue or offering an apology, and when I declined to hand over the raw burger (offering instead to let her photograph it while I held it), she told me I “didn’t have to be rude.” I want to be clear that my tone was calm and justified, especially given the circumstances, and I have a recording of the conversation. I was refunded for the meal, but I left disappointed and disturbed that this occurred at all. I’m extremely concerned about the lack of care and professionalism displayed, as well as the fact that such an uncooked burger was served in the first place. Undercooked beef, or in this situation, uncooked beef, presents a serious health hazard!
If I could give – 100, this would be it!
The photo does not do justice, and the video I have won’t upload.
Suggestions: Please ensure that all food is cooked thoroughly to proper food safety standards. I also recommend conducting an unannounced visit to the store, posing as a regular customer, to observe how the staff handle orders and customer interactions firsthand. You may find that certain employees are negatively impacting your franchise’s reputation and overall performance, which in turn slows down revenue.
We really appreciate the way it was handled.
Special thanks to Brian.
When someone. Asks for a sausage EGG AND CHEESE. That does NOT mean just sausage!
This McDonald’s is a failure to the simplest things.
