Went here for dinner, and it was a pretty okay experience. The salmon was very well done, but I was not a fan of the way they made their carbonara. The emulsion was good and didn’t break, but I wasn’t a fan of the flavor. The pancetta tasted good, and there was quite a lot of it, but the sauce needed a lot more pepper. I’d probably come back to try something else since they clearly know how to prepare good food, but I wouldn’t get the carbonara again.

Genuinely some of the worst Italian me and my boyfriend have ever had. We came here for the first time for our anniversary and were severely disappointed. Upon first impression everything looked nice and was very quaint. Bread came and was warm but nothing special. (Also the only saving grace about their food.) I ordered a lemonade which was also nothing special. For dinner my boyfriend got the Bolognese and I got the Carbonara (no pancetta, add chicken breast.) Both weren’t simply underwhelming but objectively bad. My boyfriend said his pasta had no flavor and the meat tasted metallic. My chicken also had no flavor and tasted almost burnt, in addition to my pasta being grainy and such an unpleasant texture I could barely eat any of it. Waitress didn’t notice our practically untouched plates and after 20 minutes of sitting there we were handed to go boxes without being so much as asked as to how our food tasted. We paid and tipped but will not ever be returning to Onesto. For the price point, this place is absolutely NOT worth it.

We had a lovely dinner to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Robert was our waiter and he was so attentive and made our dinner even more amazing with his calm demeanor and it was nice to have such a relaxing time enjoying awesome food!!! The gluten free options were very tasty as well and that isn’t always the case, so much appreciated. We live nearly 3 hours away, but will definitely return. Thanks Robert and Onesto for a lovely evening.

Took my girlfriend to Onesto for her birthday dinner. We started with the blood orange mule and black cherry old fashioned. Both drinks were really good the old fashioned was strong! We then had the meat and cheese board for our appetizer. All the accoutrements were so fresh and the sweet drop peppers were something I had never tried before. For entrees I got the Gnocchi with chicken and she had the Carbonara. One of the best meals I have eaten in a long, especially since moving to Milwaukee. I would highly recommend Onesto for a date night or special occasion if you’re in the Milwaukee area! 10/10 experience from start to finish.

I came here with a group of girls for a casual dinner. It was my first time here and overall the restaurant is very pretty with a low light ambience atmosphere. Perfect setting for a date night!

My favorite restaurant in Milwaukee! As someone from Chicago, I’m not able to come often, but anytime I’m in MKE, Onesto is always on the itinerary.
Every single thing I’ve ever had here has been fantastic. The salmon & lobster seasonal soup we had last night was phenomenal. We will be back when the lobster ravioli returns!

My wife and I went on a date night to Onesto. Had a fabulous time and the pasta was delicious! Great atmosphere and service. Some of the best salad and pasta and meatballs we’ve had in a long time. And great mocktail menu. Would highly recommend!

Onesto offers a very calming and laid back atmosphere that is so inviting! I wish I had taken pictures. The waiter we had was wonderful, fun and he did not give us a hard time about our toddlers constantly grabbing at stuff, dropping things on the floor. (We picked everything up so they wouldn’t have to.) But the food!!!! OMG the food was delicious! We ordered Burrata for our appetizer and it was perfection. Our meals consisted of an Italian beef sandwich, pasta with red sauce and meatballs for our kids. I had the pesto chicken salad sandwich! Everything was good. They definitely deserve their 5 stars.

We couldn’t make a reservation on Saturday night at Onesto, but we were able to sit at the bar. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We ordered the New York strip, carbonara, grilled branzino, and salmon. Everything came out perfectly — the branzino and salmon were especially well-seasoned and very flavorful.
