I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but Baja Cantina really earned this one. First off, they served margaritas in a flimsy plastic cup Which they said it was their new rule on Friday because they were too busy to wash dishes… and then had the nerve to overcharge for them. To make matters worse, they actually charged me two dollars for what amounted to two spoonfuls of salsa — seriously? The service was just as disappointing: slow, inattentive, and downright rude. Nothing about this experience felt worth the money or the time. Save yourself the headache and skip this place.

Came in with my family for my birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience. Our server,Ceydeli was very attentive and made sure I had a special evening. Brisket queso was on point, salsa was the perfect spice level, combo fajitas were amazing, and my husband enjoyed his tacos al carbon. Ceydeli even surprised me with a special treat before we left. We’ve always enjoyed eating at Baja, but tonight was an extra special experience and wanted to give a shout out to all the workers.

I’ve already been here twice within the last 2 days. The food is delicious!!! It’s flavorful and fresh. The salsa and the queso are delicious as well. If you like spicy you’ll love the salsa. The margaritas will get you right!!! They’re the type of margaritas that will sneak up on you and they are HUGE! This place has earned a spot on my favorites list. The service was wonderful. Both times I’ve gone everyone has been amazing.

Salsa overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice ⭐⭐⭐⭐
No cilantro and is more tomato base
Size of salsa: small

Chips: warm when fresh. Semi thick. Made in house you can taste the corn.

Margaritas: strong + good price.
Margaritas: mango 4.5 – 5 very strong.
Strawberry 4. Can very in strength.
Guava: 5. This is so refreshing! Must have!
Speed: semi-fast

My carna tacos. Chicken was well cooked. Queso is very creamy but will overtake the guacamole. Did not come with any pico de Gallo.

The trio my friend tried. She said the the biscuit was absolutely worth it and the tamales were better with sour creme that she took from my plate.
There are no booths that I could see inside. There is a small quaint sitting area outside.

Tried the steak with a different dish. That is the better of the 2. Well worth the price. Just solid food. You won’t be disappointed.

We had an amazing time at Baja with the familia and even some friends joins us at the end. Food was great and the Frozen Margaritas are awesome but what made the experience even better was the service from Mauricio. Mauricio did a great job keeping us busy with food and drinks and we really enjoyed your hospitality.

I love the fresh chips served with a delicious salsa that has just the right amount of kick! The food is always tasty – today I had the enchiladas verdes, and they were fantastic. I’ve also tried the brisket tacos and flautas on previous visits, and they’ve been great too. The portions are a bit on the smaller side, in my opinion, and the customer service can be a little slow at times, but they are always friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Been here several times and had great food and great service. The margaritas used to be served in tall glasses. Last night we had a large group of family and the service sucked. Didn’t get my water until the drink that I ordered came. My husband didn’t get his food until he went up to another person and asked where his food was. Our waitress pretty much ghosted us. 13.00 for a house margarita in a small plastic cup. And my brother never got his food. When we went to leave we seen our waitress outside talking to what looked like friends for 40 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even crowded. Never came to clean off the empty dishes off the table as people finished eating. We spent a lot of money for crappy service

The food is delicious. Anything with their salsa verde will be great. Chilaquiles & Enchiladas especially. Their ceviche is also the best I have tasted in DFW.

This is a very quaint neighborhood Mexican style cantina off of North Tarrant near 377, although there are several other locations.

The entrance and signage is very difficult to see and I would not have noticed it if I wasn’t told it was there. There is a large tree blocking most of the signage, so a little pruning would do wonders for them.

Inside decor is clean, not cluttered, and very open. The staff is very friendly.

Chips and queso were provided, and I have to say the salsa has a solid kick to it with a nice lingering heat. Chips are a nice thickness (not too thick but won’t break constantly) and fairly standard.
We asked about queso and perhaps one con carne. I found out there is one version not listed on the menu called Issa’s Queso, a combination of choice of meat (chicken, ground beef, fajita, chorizo, etc.) with guacamole, pico, and sour cream. It was quite good and we enjoyed it.

We then ordered a Burrito Plate and Enchiladas Suisas. I have to say the presentation of the burrito plate was strikingly boring and didn’t inspire great expectations. It turned out to be passable. The enchiladas actually were impressively plated, colorful, and inviting. A delight to see. Digging into the first bite, starting in the middle, my first impression was the chicken was a little tough and a little dry. Continuing on, this faded, yet my opinion still stands that starting with a touch more moisture would go a long way to up this dish slightly. The Suisas sauce was on the lighter side with the sour cream yet works well. The interesting, and a little surprising, addition was the softly sautéed squash and cucumber (yep, cucumber). It actually works quite nicely and adds character.

They have a nice little bar and feature margaritas prevalently. I hear this is a neighborhood gathering spot (I was there during mid-afternoon lull) but I can imagine weekend nights could find a crowd.

I wish I could go 3.5 here but have to try it again, and I will.
