We sat at the bar and had pear socki and tempura sushi while we waited on or table. We had Hibachi it was great our chef was intertaining. It was my husband’s first time eating Japanese food and he had a great time. Thank you Koi for making date night so enjoyable

I walked in around 3:00 p.m. yesterday and stood at the host stand for several minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. Eventually, I asked one of the male employees behind the bar if the restaurant was open. Although he clearly saw me standing there, he didn’t greet or respond until I spoke first. He finally mumbled something and led me to a table.
Despite the restaurant being fairly empty (only four tables occupied and three servers on the floor), no one came by to take my order for another five minutes. I had to call the same staff member who seated me to place my order. His explanation? He was “busy” and had a few tables.
What made the experience worse was the lack of professionalism – the busboy walked around with his hair completely covering his face, which didn’t look neat or appropriate for a restaurant setting. When my food finally arrived – brought out by a lady who seemed to be either the manager or owner – there were no plates provided. I had to ask for one, which felt like a basic oversight or lacked common sense. While she was pleasant, the overall service felt inattentive and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and wouldn’t return.

Joey was an excellent server. We enjoyed her speediness, good listening, and kindness. Nick was a great hibachi chef! The best hibachi chicken I’ve ever had and enormous portions. My husband got the ribeye and it was so tender. We can’t wait to come back!

Came here on VDay with the family. It was a great experience. It was packed but we were seated right away with no reservations. Got the hibachi vegetable with noodles and it was great! The sushi was great! I’m very picky about my sushi! The manager was able to make sure my mother’s sushi was just how she wanted it! The waiter! He was amazing and very attentive! We will be back!

First time here and I was a bit disappointed in my overall visit. While waiting in line to check in and even while we were eating, it looked and sounded like there was arguing between hostess and what looked like a manager. It was very much the manager coming after the hostess and the hostess looked so defeated and exhausted. I could tell it was probably a stressful night for the hostess as it was really busy when we got there. I wish for everyone’s sake they took it to the back like mature adults and corrected any mistakes in private than to potentially embarrass anyone.
We got seated and ordered our sushi and appetizers.
We ordered takoyaki and crab rangoons for appetizers- the octopus in the takoyaki was very rubbery. I’ve definitely had much better and was super disappointed in these as these are a go to app for me at restaurants that serve them
Our sushi was much better than the appetizers and we did enjoy them but they weren’t something we’d call home about
The cowboy roll and California roll are good, basic sushi for someone not in the mood for fish
Tuna Lover and First Kiss Roll were pretty good
Atmosphere was very loud- as I notice with a lot of hibachi places, you get people that scream at the grill tables (which we weren’t seated at) so if loud noises and people screaming are overstimulating, this is definitely not the place to come to
Overall, I will say I’m glad I finally got to try this place out after eyeing it for so long but I was really disappointed in my experience

I love this place. Come here nearly once a week it’s so good. I’ve done both the hibachi and just the dining area and both are nice. The food is great. But the service is what makes it such a great place to go, they’re all really nice and attentive. The food comes quick, they’re always checking on you, making sure everything is good with you. Makes for a wonderful experience.

I went here for my graduation lunch and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was super friendly and the waitress even helped us take pictures. The food was delicious. I recommend the gyoza appetizer (the sauce is good) and the rainbow special roll (the waitress said it was her favorite and I definitely agree. We had 8 people. Just be warned that the hot dishes will probably come out first and the sushi seemed to be last. So get an appetizer if you’re hungry and ordered sushi.

My Hubby and I ordered delivery and have very different experiences. He got the Hibachi Ribeye with fried rice. It was supposed to come with a side salad and miso soup. Although he was disappointed that he didn’t get a ginger dressing for his salad the rest of his meal was fantastic. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai with some crab rangoon and was really looking forward to eating his Miso soup. Unfortunately my entire meal was extremely disappointing. The miso soup was not even remotely close to the real thing. It had no seaweed, no green onion, no tofu, no miso paste and tasted suspiciously like plain chicken broth. The Crab Rangoon was kind of OK in that it had cream cheese in a fried wrap, but we couldn’t taste any crab and the wrap was so hard along the 3 pressed edges that we couldn’t eat that part and ended up giving most of it to our dog. Even more disappointing than the not miso soup, was the tray of chicken, eggs and noodles with bits of shredded carrots that was supposed to be the Pad Thai I ordered. It wasn’t made with Pad Thai noodles, it did contain chicken, but had no lime, no cilantro, no peanut sauce, no green onion, no delicious sweet and savory Pad Thai flavor, and left me struggling to eat even half of the dish. We live on a very limited income and rarely have the means to treat ourselves to such an expensive meal, but, because we were celebrating Valentine’s Day, and our 10 year Anniversary we decided to splurge. The only good thing I can say about the whole meal is that it was the ONLY DISSAPOINTING aspect of our night. We will not make that mistake ever again.

We were a large group and made reservations before coming in.
We were seated promptly and our server was attentive and kind. I myself have been here several times before and noticed when ordering hibachi the salad that comes ahead of time had a tomato and a cucumber and now that is no longer existent. I understand prices of products have gone up but so have their prices. We were served lettuce with dressing on top. I am hopeful that was just a mistake because that should not be the standard for a restaurant like Koi.
With that being said our servers name was Ibrahim and he was very helpful and attentive. Always on top of refills and made sure we were taken care of. Our chef was Alejandro and he was a joy to watch. Thank you again!
