Food was very good and the place is clean. The sushi bar is located away from the main bars and was packed with tasty eats and was manned with its own chef. Definitely value for what you get. The seafood was really good.

This is a typical china buffet. They have very good sushi. The egg drop soup is excellent. ThenFood is not always hot though , but if you get there on a good day , the food is really good. They need to replace the light bulbs in the two huge pictures in the back of the restaurant. When they work they are beautiful. I have been coming here for many years.And they are almost always clean. Except for the bathrooms , they are very , very nasty.

The food was ok. The sweet and sour chicken was fresh, along with the fruit/salad bar. My husband said the clams were decent, not fishy or tough. The fried shrimp was good but the steamed shrimp was mush. The clear soup was only lukewarm and fried noodles were stale. We had a couple of chicken dishes that had maybe had sat too long on the buffet. My husb The restaurant itself could use a good updating. 18.00 for a buffet is a little pricey considering there are other Asian buffets in Durham for 3 dollars less and so many more options. I know everything has gotten more expensive but this place used to have the best crab legs for cheap years ago and so many more options. We just about ran out of water as our server was eating at an adjacent booth while we were eating.

My second visit. It has improved since the 1st time I ate there. The furniture has been updated. It wasn’t my idea to eat here, I’m not thrilled with the OG buffets. It was cleaner,furniture was repaired. Food was ok…mussels were inedible. But the fried foods were better. Will I eat here again, No , It still doesn’t fit my standards but someone I care for wanted to treat me to a lunch there and I couldn’t decline the invite.

I can always count on China Buffet to feed my family after a long day of work when I don’t want to cook. Customer service is great and it matches the yummy food! Will always be back- every 2 weeks one of my fave dishes is the jalapeño chicken! Gotta try it!

A very good open buffet mostly sea food and there is also chicken and meat. It’s just a regular one like those you find everywhere, authentic and very good, not outstanding or different, yet still a great value. I loved the grilled shrimp, and the desert. The sushi was also very good

The sign may be in need of repair but don’t let that deter you. The place is very clean with great decor and seating. Service is friendly, efficient and attentive. The buffet is very clean with a sushi bar, soups, salad, verious meat and seafood dishes and desserts including an ice cream station. Food is hot and good and you will leave with a full stomach.

Weekend dinner for adult is $16.99. other prices please refer to pix below. We came on Sunday and it was so busy. Quite a bit of waiting in line but the food turnover was fast. They have a decent amount of variety and quality was alright. Hibachis grill is at the very back we almost missed it. In general it’s a good experience.

This is a nice sized Chinese buffet with a noodle bar, hibachi, sushi as well as the traditional Chinese staples. It did lack general tso chicken and black pepper chicken. The service was good and plates did not stay on our table. The hibachi grill was good. I only got vegetables at the grill so I cannot speak for the meats. The fried shrimp was different as it had butterfly and shrimp with the hull attached mixed together. So it was fried and by the time you removed the shell there was no shrimp. The fried chicken wings had a very good taste. The salmon had a very strong fishy taste but looked so appetizing. Overall most of the food I had was to my liking. The service was excellent and my cup never got empty. I would return if I am in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here. The building (once an Olive garden) was clean and spacious. The buffet ($15 per person) was well stocked with a wide variety of foods (frequently refreshed by servers). All the foods were tasty and hot. Our waitress checked on us three times to refill our drinks and remove our used plates. If you are hungry and want plenty of delicious food, dine at the China Buffet!
