Law Of Kindness
Our experience at Charlie Hopper’s Bar & Grill was honestly very disappointing from the moment we walked in.
When we first came through the door, we weren’t greeted at all. Eventually someone told us we could seat ourselves, so we chose a table that worked well for our whole family. After we sat down, the waitress came over and asked us to move to a different table—even though the one we had chosen accommodated our family perfectly and we had already been told we could sit wherever we wanted.
Things got more awkward when we went to grab menus. The waitress tossed the menus toward my husband and didn’t even hand me one or acknowledge me. At that point we seriously debated just leaving because the service felt very rude and unwelcoming.
Eventually we decided to stay and place our order. To be fair, the waitress did soften her attitude a bit after that initial interaction, which we appreciated.
However, when she brought out plates for our appetizers, three out of the five plates were visibly dirty and still had food on them. Normally we wouldn’t make a big deal if it was just one plate, but three out of five was honestly shocking.
By that time our food had already started being prepared, so we stayed. The food itself was actually decent, but nothing special. The serving size for an adult burger was the same size as the kid’s burger. We know because we got both! Another thing that was frustrating is that the physical menu didn’t list any prices—you have to scan a QR code on your phone to see them. Once we saw the prices, we were pretty surprised at how expensive everything was.
For what we paid, the food was no better than what you could get at somewhere like Five Guys, except significantly more expensive.
Between the rude start to the service, dirty dishes, confusing menu pricing, and the overall atmosphere feeling a bit off, it just wasn’t a good experience.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend coming here, as the service and value simply didn’t match the price.

We got to enjoy this stop because of the the Pubpass and so glad we did! They had a front patio we could enjoy with our pup. Service was great. She was super patient with us, as it was our first time eating there. So disappointed they were out of impossible dogs, but what we got was superb! The Cajun Mac was delicious lots of well seasoned creamy sauce and since it was Wednesdays I got it for $3 off! The grilled Samlon was great and the Teriyaki was delicious. We were happy to be on the patio though as there was a odd smell (maybe a sewage problem).

First time trying this place and wasn’t disappointed. It was jammin but it was a Friday night. Got right in and seated immediately. Our server was awesome. We had the pretzel with beer cheese and breaded jalapeno poppers for starters so good. For the main meal I had the Barbq pork Mac n cheese. Delicious !!! My daughter had grilled chicken in her Mac n Cheese. She loved it. The boyfriend had the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich. He said it was the best ever. We tried something banana and some kind of Peanut Butter Dessert. Not sure of the correct names but both were heavenly. Cannot wait to go back.

Food was good bar food, we had the hot dogs meals, which they were. We waited probably 20 minutes for hot dogs though and the chili on my dog wasn’t hot enough to melt cheese. Fries were good. Service outside of time to get food was really good, we sat at the bar.

Charlie Hoopers never disappoints! While half of our party was there for one of their famous custom hot dogs, almost everyone ended up choosing a custom burger or chicken sandwich. I chose the Hickory Chicken and coupled it with a side of sweet potato tots which I highly recommend. Our group shared a large Bavarian pretzel which comes with stone ground mustard and a queso cheese sauce that was excellent. Don’t overlook Charlie Hoopers as just some sports bar with bar food or you will miss out on some delectable food choices.

I was referred here for restaurant week. I’ve been here before I just didn’t remember the name or location, so kudos for restaurant week. The bartender was such a gentleman. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I didn’t have to ask to be service he was ready to take my order. I had the hot honey chicken Chicken sandwich. Big portions. The chicken was very tender a juicy. I can’t handle the spicy too much but that sandwich was very tasty, lips were tingling but tastebuds were satisfied. I ordered fries as my side which were decent. I also had a side salad which came with the restaurant week menu. Veggies were fresh and ranch was bomb. I will say it’s a very dim lit place, but overall it was an enjoyable moment for me.❤️

When you asked for a wrap and some Mac and cheese But you get a Pretzel that your Allergic to and The wrap So covered in buffalo sauce that you can’t taste anything and they barely put meat in it. I don’t know why you would substituted for the most cheapest thing when the mac & cheese was like $18 on DoorDash, but you gave me the most cheapest which was like the pretzel That I’m allergic to

We decided to check this place out due to the positive reviews. Delaney was our server and she was great! She stayed on top of everything and made sure our drinks were filled. All of our meals were really good although I will say my fries were a bit overdone. The Baja tacos were great though!
