I wanted to like this place because it’s so popular in Killington, but unfortunately the service experience was disappointing.
The food was good, and the hibachi chef was entertaining and professional. We were lucky to get seats by walking in after skiing when reservations were otherwise full.
BUT, one extremely rude server ruined our experience.
After the chef finished cooking, my drink still had not arrived, but our server was nowhere to be found. We politely asked a tall blond male staff member nearby if he could help us check on it.
He immediately yelled at us loudly:
“I’M NOT YOUR SERVER! FIND YOUR OWN SERVER!”
A family sitting next to us saw this and talked to a manager for us. Our server later came and apologized, but we explained that the issue was not her fault—we were hoping for accountability from the staff member who yelled at us. Unfortunately, we were told that he would likely not apologize. We were offered one complimentary drink, but the situation itself was never properly addressed.
Our server herself was polite, and we still left an 18% tip out of respect for her work.
I think basic courtesy from all staff should be a minimum standard.

Sushi Yoshi is legit. Fabulous service from the front of house team and consistently excellent sushi. Fun fact: Boston is 2h45m drive away – maybe this contributes to the greatness with fresh product arriving regularly. The upper half-moon bar is a fabulous après ski spot, and there are private Japanese rooms and a lower sushi bar that helps drive a really special ski-town-sushi atmosphere. This review after five consistently excellent visits. The wonderful Simone kept the entire bar hopping and humming. Highly recommend.

If you want hibachi, it’s great place, because you are in for the show.
If you want Chinese(American) food, it’s also decent.
If you want good sushi and sashimi, this is not for you. It’s takeout sushi bar level at its best, and the quality of the fish is low.
I immediately had diarrhea after I got back to my hotel, but to be fair, I have sensitive stomach. Still, it’s not good quality fish.
The line is long during the weekend and holidays, you’d better get reservations. And sushi bar will backed up during the busy hour, it’s wise to have hibachi or just order Chinese dishes.
They did put a lot of efforts on decorating the place, at least when they investing this place at beginning. I imagine it will be a great memory for people who’s not familiar with Asian culture.

I thought I’d take my mom out to a nice lunch. We made reservations for hibachi. She ordered just shrimp and I ordered steak and shrimp. The food was otherwise good except the shrimp was not thoroughly cleaned, at all. We pointed this out to the server and he seemed annoyed. His customer service was crap. With an attitude, he said “I can give you 50% off”. No apologies whatsoever. Most of our meal was shrimp, and it wasn’t one or two of them that wasn’t cleaned properly, it was all of them. Neither of us ate the shrimp. Customer service needs work. We also ended up seating ourselves as there was no hostess.

Do not bring your $ to this business. Whether tourist or local. Big reservation? Important memorable night that you want to go well?? Read below.
We were 13. We made the reservation 5 MONTHS AGO. We reached out saying we’d be 15 minutes, and they cancelled our appointment straight up. Our time slot was for 2 hours, we would not mind a shorter experience…
They don’t want to commit to you, I would not recommend committing to them by making a reservation with them. 5 months prior or day before. Their hosting staff was incredibly rude and short on the phone as well. “Sorry, we have a strict 5 minute late policy” hang up.

Fun stop in to pre game at the Pickle Barrel. Server was most excellent. Sushi, drinks and the lower level rooms are fun

We popped in here last minute after eating pub food and French fries continuously for days! Sushi sounded like a great break from burgers and potatoes. We did not have reservations but were told it’s not necessary for sushi only. If you plan to dine hibachi, reservations are a must. Parking lot was PACKED and we had to stalk leaving parties to find a spot. Walked into the restaurant to an overwhelming crowd of chaos. Loud rock music. Crowds of people waiting for their name to be called from the waitlist. Yet, somehow we snaked a table in the bar as soon as we walked in and were dining in under 15 minutes on the most delicious selections of fresh sushi!! While the chaos and crowd seemed daunting, I gotta hand it to the staff: they ran a tight ship and kept folks moving, happy, and taken care of!! The food was exceptional in every way, by the service takes the cake! I imagine the staff deals with tons of tourists and it probably becomes demanding in many ways. Staff were friendly, helpful and fast!! Highly recommend this place!!
