Visited for dinner while in the area on a Stand By Me pilgrimage, and it turned out to be a great choice.

I had the ribs, which were tender and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crisp. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a nice place to unwind after a day of exploring.

My friend ordered the salmon, and it looked absolutely delicious — I might have to try that next time.

Great food and a welcoming vibe. Would definitely recommend!

We went for the first time on Valentine’s Day 2026. The food was cooked to perfection! I love the comfy and cozy vibes the booths have. Service was also great! We will definitely return.

We wanted a special night out and Stanfords was the perfect spot. It is an elegant upscale restaurant with a relaxed dress code (no shorts and tank tops). The servers are in black coats, the lighting is low, and the menu prepared by a master chef. We ordered the chicken club sandwich and the 3 course meal featuring the house salad, Columbia River Steelhead, and chocolate mouse for dessert. My partner is a bit of a salmon snob, but couldn’t stop reaching about the perfection of her filet, cooked just the way she asked for it. The chicken club was also perfect, all tender cuts of chicken breast with bacon and the fixings on toasted garlic bread. An unexpected treat in all this was the bread that came with the house salad, a toasted slice of focatia with a hose special cheese sauce drizzled on top. Amazingly soft and tasty.

All in all we were beyond delighted with our experience and will definitely return for more.

I’ve always loved coming to Stanford’s for happy hour! I have not visited since they closed the Jantzen Beach location, as that was the closest to me since I live in Vancouver. Finally decided to come check it out again after years of not visiting. Staff was great. Very friendly and attentive. Food has always been good and the deals are great for happy hour. The mac n cheese has always been a favorite item of mine, as well as their Caesar salad. Just be aware that if you add chicken to your salad, it costs more than the salad itself! Which is crazy. The chicken strips are always good and juicy, and they come with fries. The happy hour margarita wasn’t something I’d order again. It was way too tart and was not refreshing at all. Not sure if there was too much margarita mix or syrup used? But throw espresso martini was delicious! Always good vibes here and great service. Wish it wasn’t so far, otherwise I’d visit more often.

Greetings,

Went here for a celebration and it was lovely. They go above and beyond on the atmosphere and service.

The food was good and would definitely eat here again.

The only thing that bothered me, and this is strictly from growing up with Italian food, is that the Marsala sauce was mild. It was the version with butter and a bit of the wine. I am more used to the flavor punch of the sauce made from the reduction of the wine. It was still good though.

Thank you!

We stepped into Stanford’s in Clackamas for Wine Down Wednesday and it did not disappoint! Their happy hour menu had great pricing, generous portions, and the perfect relaxed vibe for midweek catch-ups.

We sat inside — cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and just the right energy to unwind after a long day. Definitely adding this to my go-to list for client meetups or girls’ nights.

Love finding local spots that make you feel at home right here in our community.

This is where you can often find my wife and I enjoying Happy Hour either on date night or with my NW Nest Real Estate partner and his wife. Good food, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant and attentive staff. The GM actually walks the floor, checking on things, saying hello, and helping work tables. For us it feels like Cheers!

High quality, great value, upscale atmosphere, and world class service. This is simply a terrific local chain restaurant. I popped in about a half hour before close on a busy Friday night and everything was just perfect. Happy hour ribs and rings, stuffed mushrooms, and a couple of neat knob creeks only ran me $48 (the excellent food was only $20 of that). Even at this late hour, the food was perfect. Smaller sized portions of fall-off-the-bone pork ribs with a lovely charred finish, crispy and thick onion rings, and a plate of plump and deliciously-stuffed mushrooms… It was the perfect trio to compliment one of my favorite bourbons. Bartender Greg was truly on point with his consistent and fair pours, joyful demeanor, and attentive customer service. He’s earning those tips in all the right ways.
Keep it up, Stanford’s! You continue to shine as one of the Portland area’s best and few options for affordable fine dining after decades of never letting me down! I also recommend their Beaverton location which I’ve enjoyed since the 90’s without a single complaint. Cheers!

I went here for an anniversary dinner with my wife and son. Our server was very nice, but unfortunately the food was terrible. All three of us ordered steak—my wife and I had ribeye, and my son ordered filet mignon.

My ribeye was definitely not prime grade; at best it was select. It was chewy, hard to cut, and lacked flavor. My son’s steak was burnt to the point it tasted like charcoal. Honestly, the only good parts of the meal were the beer and the salad. This was probably the worst steak I’ve ever had.

After leaving, I received a text to rate the restaurant, and the manager later reached out offering a $100 gift card. To me, that felt like a slap in the face. If they truly believed this was a one-off bad meal and that their quality is better, they should have offered to cover the full dinner, not ask me to come back and spend another $100–$150 just to give them another chance

Courtney was our server, she made our first experience memorable and we definitely will be returning because of the great service. She made fantastic recommendations and even brought out different sauces to pair with our foods without being asked to do so. Food and atmosphere were extraordinary!
