A charming restaurant and bakery located in historic Milford, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century grist mill overlooking Sawkill Creek. Known for its freshly baked pastries, hearty breakfasts like the crème brûlée, French toast, delicious creative lunches and grab-n-go for our busy downtown workers. A unique Vietnamese inspired dinner menu as well. The café offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with a full bar, outdoor seating in the Summer, and scenic waterwheel views, making it a favorite destination for locals and visitors.

Tough shoes to fill with the beloved former owners now retired, but so happy to see that The Waterwheel is alive and well under the new ownership. Fantastic lunch today and service was A+ even though they were quite busy. Kevin (and others) served our table and they were super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.
We’re not dessert people normally, but the mousse cup looked to good to pass up (and it was!) Best of luck to the new owners! You’re already doing great!

Waterwheel Bakery in Milton, PA is an absolute gem. Everything tastes homemade and incredibly fresh, with that classic small-town bakery charm you just don’t find everywhere anymore. The baked goods are consistently delicious—soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet—and you can tell real care goes into what they make.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or picking up treats for family, it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back. If you’re in Milton, Waterwheel Bakery is a must-stop.

We ordered the omelette with breakfast potatoes and B.L.A.T., the blat was very good as well as the omelettes but the potatoes weren’t fresh. We also had the eggnog latte and Chai latte, both were delicious.

Ordered a sandwich out today and wasn’t very pleased.. called it in for takeout.. had to wait on hold to see from the staff if I could even place a to go order at all, which I thought was strange As I am a paying customer; whether physically present or not…. I ordered the steak sandwich with Gorgonzola..( which I do not recommend) after a 30 min wait request; upon receipt of the food and returning home; sandwich was colder than room temp and did not come with the sautéed onions as described on the menu or any additional toppings at all.. to sum it up, for 23 dollars plus a tip, I got a small amount steak, Gorgonzola chunks, and a bun which was colder than room temp along with NONE of the grilled onions it was supposed to come with. I also thought the sandwich cane with an aioli sauce which it did not.. I noticed after I got home in small writing under the description that sauce had to be ordered separately for an up charge; so all I got was meat and cheese on a very hard and stale baguette.. very very cold, dry, and disappointing.. I also got the side pasta salad which tasted ok; but not great; which was so small I ate it in 2 bites..I usually enjoy the restaurant very much.. but this time the quality and service was WAY down.. I see from other reviews they are under new ownership.. as a regular customer to the restaurant; I may rethink visiting there again..

Went for my birthday brunch on a Sunday for the first time. Can’t tell enough how good this place is! Everything is perfect, really. Staff is super friendly, ambient is very very cozy and food is simply amazing, delicious and with big portions. The best chai latte I have ever had!! This place deserve a trophy! Will come back for sure.

We love stopping by here to pick up desserts before visiting with friends. All the desserts we’ve tried so far have been terrific(5 for food). The staff is really nice and accommodating.
They get an overall 4 because of the way their space is set up and for lack of posted pricing. The way the space is set up makes for a little bit of crowding at their counter, and if there are more than two people it’s hard to tell who is next(4 for atmosphere). Also, their pastries have no prices posted, they only have a piece of paper behind the counter for their staff to read (4 for service).
We recently stopped in for brunch, the food was terrific and service was also great.

Came here for dinner, the food was so good I went back for brunch the next day. The vietnamese noodle soup with chicken (coconut curry type) was maybe the best thing I’ve ever had. Pastries were excellent. Service was also very good. They really know what they are doing here. Do yourself a favor and check them out for any meal.

We were so surprised to hear that the Waterwheel has new owners. We wish them the very best. Tough shoes to fill. So far however the food and service hasn’t changed a bit. Still the best Blueberry Bread Pudding around. Continued blessings and success

Very nice location with historical significance. The ambiance is quite nice. We liked the bakery area but were seated in the bar area due to space limitations. Nothing wrong with the bar room with the exception of the foul smell coming from the restroom. Service was nice and the food was mostly enjoyable. We liked the Burger and Chicken & Waffle. However, the Vietnamese sandwich was disappointing – good quality bread and veggies but the roast pork was stale. Also, you won’t find here. Overall, I’m willing to visit again.
