Mike & Denise’s is an absolute gem in Yorkville. The pizza was outstanding — perfectly cooked crust, generous toppings, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The potato skins were just as impressive: crispy, flavorful, and loaded the right way. You can tell this is a place that takes pride in what they serve. It’s one of those hometown spots that makes you glad you live nearby (or discovered it if you’re visiting). If you’re looking for great pizza and classic comfort food at a local restaurant that truly stands out, Mike & Denise’s is a must-try.

Good pizza, we only tried the double dough and it was definitely a lot of dough, but good flavor and good toppings. Chopped salad was impressive. Very good attentive staff and creative drinks along with a large amount of draft beers.

Did you know almost all of their soups are from scratch? We just had this place cater our holiday dinner. The meatballs were a hit! This is a Yorkville staple. Best place to watch any game so plan to show up early. Shouldn’t be a problem since the food is great the service is great!

Currently dog sitting for friends in Yorkville and would drive by this place everyday. My curiosity was piqued so I decided to stop in for lunch. Glad I did! This place is amazing. Excellent pizza; I had their signature thin crust “Mike’s Hot”. The bartender was super friendly and put the Cubs game when asked. The atmosphere is pretty rad being dimly lit, cool, and a nice big bar to sit at. Will definitely stop in again when I’m in the area!

Ate there for the first time last night after rave reviews from friends. Food was 5/10 and not cheap. Typical frozen and fried stuff. No big deal as that’s most places. The gross part was the whole place smelled strongly of janitorial chemicals. Whatever brand of spray they clean the tables with needs to be changed, diluted, or the tables need to be replaced to a non porous material as the entire restaurant reeked like a mop bucket. Would not return. Bummer of an experience as we love to support local small businesses. From the recent low reviews I would say the managers or owners need to step in.

Huge seating areas inside and outside with garage style patio doors for nice weather days/nights.
We were lucky to be offered a previously reserved dining table when someone hadn’t shown up for their reservation. So I guess you can reserve tables ahead of time.
Very efficient and friendly staff.
We ordered potato skins, fried mozzarella cubes and a chicken wrap. All very good.

Our entire family loves M&Ds. The menu is huge, something for everyone (including a great kids menu). I love the chopped salad, and we order the cajun wrap on repeat. The free popcorn is a bonus! Even when they are busy (don’t be surprised to walk into a full restaurant- it’s a local favorite!) it isn’t long to wait as they are always quick and courteous. The owners are often present, which I appreciate and shows the pride they have for the restaurant and their role in the community. Also should add it is the perfect spot to watch any game…if it is televised, it will be on at M&Ds!

Was there 2 Saturdays ago, sat at the bar. The bartenders couldn’t crack a smile. Staff apparel was less than appealing. Place wasn’t very clean. Drinks were not that great. Watched a bartender pick up dirty trash then make a drink without washing her hands. Lots of TV’s to watch the games but if you’re not a regular, you do not get great service.

Ordered $70 worth food for carry out. After hearing people say this place was good, we thought we’d try it. Disappointed to say the least! The chopped salad with what was supposed to be “grilled” chicken looked like it was old & the chicken never hit the grill. It looked like bagged pre-cooked chicken. The salad was barely there & lettuce & veggies we clearly old. Just gross all the way around. Ordered a Caprese Sandwich w/grilled chicken for my employee, no chicken on the sandwich. No utensils in the bag, no napkins. I called a told the gal I was going to bring the salad back & Id like a refund. When I returned, she said she would get the mgr. Mgr comes out, tried to tell me they have “different kinds of grilled chicken.” Lol, different flavors maybe but grilled chicken is chicken that has been cooked ON A GRILL. I asked for a refund & she said she could do a gift card. I declined because after all of that why would anyone want a GC to come back? We won’t be returning.

Enjoyed this place very much! Stopped by on a Friday night for a girls night and we were able to get a table right away, even with it being busy. The service was great and food was very tasty! We ordered appetizers, drinks and food. All 4 of us enjoyed our time here. The food came out quickly too. We will definitely come back for a fun dinner.
