This spot feels open and welcoming right away ☕ with a generously sized indoor area and a handful of outdoor tables for when the weather cooperates . The menu offers plenty to choose from, and the cozy, home-style mugs make it a great place to slow down and enjoy the moment . There is no table service, but everything you might need is thoughtfully set up at an easy-to-access dressing station, which keeps things simple and efficient . Renovations were underway during our visit, yet the atmosphere still felt comfortable and relaxed, and it is easy to imagine how impressive the space must be now ✨ . Parking is plentiful and free, whether you grab a close spot or opt for a longer walk to balance out that pastry indulgence . Overall, it is an easygoing place that blends convenience, comfort, and a laid-back vibe very well .

I stopped here one afternoon for a quick treat. Luckily it wasn’t too busy. I was able to walk in and only had to wait a few minutes to be helped at the counter. The staff were friendly and eager to help. It was still earlier in the day, so there was plenty selection of different pastries to choose from. Today I ended up getting a strawberry cake, fruit tart, and a brownie cheesecake. The tart and mini cheesecake were great. The strawberry cake was good, but it was a bit dry in my opinion. I have been coming into Amelie‘s for over a decade and their recipes have slightly changed overtime. Overall it was a good experience and I will come back. One thing to note is that when Amelie’s was open 15 years ago, there wasn’t as much competition. Now there are many more options for French pastries in Charlotte.

I have never been embarrassed by cakes, but for these 2 cakes I ordered from Amelie’s I was probably red from being upset at what I just served my guests and the people we were celebrating. I cannot believe they let these cakes go out for pick up (the pick up ladies were lovely and the sole reason for any stars here.)
I don’t know if they made them way ahead of time and they got very dried out, or if they forgot some ingredients… cakes that have been properly brought to room temperature should not fall apart, separate and crumble the way they did (see photo.) No moisture whatsoever in the cakes. I would have had a better experience walking into Whole Foods and purchasing any 2 cakes they had behind the glass that day. So disappointing to go from the quality of the original Noda location to what it has become after expansion around Charlotte. You lost me, Amelie’s.

The bakery side the house is great. The food however is not so good, bacon is burnt on both orders, snap and crumble. Coffee is good however didn’t come the way I asked, double caramel with no Carmel. Expects 18% tip and you have to get your own stuff, they will bring food to table. The workers are pleasant.

Walking into this café feels like stepping into a Parisian pâtisserie. The display cases are stunning—rows of colorful macarons, beautifully decorated tarts, and decadent cakes that make it hard to choose just one. Everything looks like it belongs in a magazine spread.

We ordered a variety to try: a raspberry layered cheesecake, a rich chocolate slice, and a flaky pastry paired with coffee and a matcha latte. The flavors did not disappoint—the raspberry dessert was refreshing and tangy with just the right amount of sweetness, while the chocolate slice was dense, smooth, and indulgent. The matcha latte was creamy and earthy, a perfect balance to the sweets.

The ambiance is cozy yet lively, with a modern French vibe. Staff were friendly and patient while we decided (which took a while with so many tempting choices!).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highly recommend if you want authentic French-style pastries, rich flavors, and a treat-yourself kind of experience. Perfect for a morning coffee, an afternoon pick-me-up, or even taking a box of desserts home to impress guests.

Atmosphere was fun and warm. Ordered the yogurt with granola and berries with raspberry ice tea. I enjoyed both! The granola was soft it a hint of cinnamon. I like my tea not too sweet and this one was just right. Pricing was not outrageous for portions or quality. Would recommend!

I visited this café and ordered a coffee and a sandwich to go. I had to wait 30 minutes for my order, so if you’re planning to quickly stop by for lunch, this may not be the best place. The wait time feels more like a full-service restaurant rather than a grab-and-go spot.

The food was tasty — no complaints about the quality. But because of the long wait, I didn’t even have time to properly eat. The cappuccino was also too hot to drink right away.

I really like the atmosphere here — it’s a lovely place to be. Just keep in mind that you might wait quite a while for your food, which can be a problem if you’re on a short lunch break.

We just returned for another visit!!! OMG all the pastries looked delish. We ordered a few pastries and 2 coffees and we were excited to try everything!!! Everything was delish! The pastries were so fresh and you can definately share a few things, so you can taste a few desserts. We cannot wait to come here again.

It has been years since we have been here. We stopped in today for a coffee and a yummy pastry. Everything looked so delicious that it was hard to pick just one. 3 coffee’s and 3 treats cost $40, so a little pricey but worth the visit.
