First visit here. Buffet! It was really good other than the crablegs. Very disappointing! They were flavorful but small and rubbery so you had to really work to get any meat! Also they only had two trays of them and they were constantly out and always had a line to get any, wait time averaged 25 minutes between bringing out more! They could definitely do better in this area since they emphasize that crablegs are included in the price of the buffet which is 20.99 plus tax for adults! Upside, nice atmosphere and the sushi plus the rest of the buffet was fresh, plentiful and very tasty! Don’t go on a Sunday just after lunch, really were lots of people, partly church crowd for sure!

Ginza Buffet of Gastonia – Lunch Review
I stopped in with my family right at opening time (11:00 AM on a Thursday), and overall, Ginza Buffet delivered a solid experience—especially for the lunch price of $13.99.
✨ Presentation & Atmosphere
The first thing that stands out is the presentation. The buffet line is spotless, beautifully organized, and visually appealing. The lighting, décor, and overall layout give the restaurant a modern, upscale feel. Everything looked fresh, well-stocked, and inviting as soon as the doors opened.
Food Variety & Quality
There’s a wide selection—hibachi-style dishes, classic Asian buffet favorites, salads, sushi rolls, fruit, desserts, and more. The sushi bar in particular had a great variety and was attractively plated.
They do offer crab legs on the buffet, but they are very small, so if you’re coming specifically for crab legs, that’s something to keep in mind.
Overall, the food tasted good, was hot and fresh, and stayed replenished quickly.
Value for Price
For $13.99 during lunch, the value is definitely there. The selection, quality, and overall experience felt very reasonable for the price point.
✔️ Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a clean, well-presented buffet with good variety at an affordable lunch price, Ginza Buffet of Gastonia is worth visiting. Great presentation, plenty to choose from, and an overall enjoyable meal for the cost.

Beautiful inside, Horrible food. It’s almost like another nationality is back there cooking it. I really only went for the crablegs and they don’t taste like the ones you get at Myrtle Beach or Sam’s Club but for $21 I’m not upset. I definitely don’t recommend this place. The reviews were definitely telling the truth, this aint it and I drove 35min to try this place…oh yeah, bathroom has a weird smell and looks a little dingy.

This buffet is pretty clean and has a huge variety of food. My favourite option is sashimi for dinner (salmon, escolar, surf clams) and crab legs. Sushi selection was pretty good too. The price is around $20 for all you can eat during dinner hours. I also like the white fish they have and some small cooked clams. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Made an effort to try a bit of everything even though I couldn’t get to it all, I liked pretty much all of it, first time I’ve eaten something with tentacles, and I enjoyed the experience a lot. Definitely want to eat again.

Overall, the experience was very pleasant. There are so many options, you’re bound to find something you love. It was extremely crowded during our visit, but we were seated quickly. The server seemed very overwhelmed as it took him an extremely long time to come back to check on us. Many of us needed refills for well over a half hour and couldn’t locate him. My daughter enjoyed the sushi varieties. I really enjoyed the fish. The dumplings were beautiful and tasty. I was eager to try the hibachi but the line for the sole cook was extremely long. We will return.

Great selection of foods to appease all ages and palates. The sweet tea is very delicious and sweetened just right(and I don’t mean overly sweet either), very refreshing! We had just arrived ahead of the lunch rush, with no waiting to be seated. I always like looking at the lights above the buffet area; pretty with blue and white lights with sea creatures mixed in with the light. The buffet is well stocked and has someone who walks around with a headset informing the kitchen staff of what needs to be replaced. Nice and fresh salad selection with fresh fruits too, as well as a nice options for dessert. The service was great, that we did not need to ask for anything. It’s always nice to go back to enjoy food!

Not a good experience, no crab legs. I went up three different times no crab legs. The waitress didn’t come and get our plates. We had dirty plates on our table the whole duration of our time sitting there. Unacceptable.
