I usually really like this place, but my recent pickup order was really disappointing. The fries were completely burnt, even though I paid extra for garlic on them. My beans were cold, and the chicken sliders were barely warm. I tried calling multiple times for a refund, but no one answered. I’m hoping this was just an off night because I’ve had much better experiences here before.

Old SLO in downtown is a nice venue to kick back and enjoy some solid BBQ. The pulled pork sandwich is very good and the bun was so soft and had a great taste. I really liked the texture of the bun. I think the fries have too much salt. Service wise, all of the staff members were very attentive and helpful.

The BBQ was just average. The sandwiches tasted dry without any additional sauce or toppings. The salad was tasty, but I did not enjoy the plastic container. There should be proper dishes when not ordering to go. I liked the fact that you can tap your beer yourself.

This place is amazing. The food is delicious. I got the tri tip meal with fries and garlic bread. The tri tip was melt in your mouth delicious. The fries were perfect slightly crispy and soft cooked just right. Also had the chocolate shake and it was delicious. The girl who helped me was super friendly and had my order quick. She seemed very happy to be there which is a good sign. Plenty of seating inside or outside. Lots of parking available. Highly recommend this place.

This was amazing!!! The service was fantastic. We ordered sweet potato fries and did the wall of beers and wines. It was so fun to experience all the different options and they had options for everyone. I like wine and it was fun to sample local wines and I even discovered a new wine. My husband and prefers beers and found a brown ale that was delicious. We will definitely come back when we are in the area! What a treat!!!!

Everyone was very nice. The beans are really good. But the cornbread is the driest I’ve ever had totally inedible for me and the rest of my party. The brisket was okay but overcooked. What got me was the ribs.. hard as a rock and so salty I couldn’t eat a bite even after fighting to cut off a piece. Super disappointed! Ribs should fall off the bone. Now to the mac and yellow gritty water sauce. No salt pepper or cheese. Nothing at all cheesy just gritty and wet. Nasty!

Old SLO BBQ on Higuera was packed, but the service was solid. The tall guy with tattoos and glasses was holding it down—he took my order then went back and made it himself.

Even with the rush, he seemed happy to help.
The tri-tip was sliced thin and was so tender it basically evaporated in my mouth. Portions were great, the order was accurate, and the vibe was on point. Definitely worth stopping by.

The fresh, slaw and quinoa salad to the fresh tri tip taco and food is great!! Prices were amazing I would have paid so much more is San Jose and wouldn’t be giving this 5 stars in my home town sadly!
Must try this place.

Appetite enhancing aroma of OSBBQ as we walk up to order. Freshly prepared. Delicious sandwiches. Fun to sample the wall of draft beers. Great caterers for church events, weddings, funerals and Cal Poly wrestling. Well done OSBBQ. Keep up the good work.

We had them cater our lunch and it was a great experience. The price felt very fair for the quality of food we got, and the tri-tip was a crowd favorite. Everything tasted great, and they were super easy to work with. Would happily use them again.
