Hubby and I had an early dinner here on a Saturday. We started with crawfish hush puppies and they were delicious. Our cocktails were good. I got the frenier oysters and they were ok. I dont think id order it again. Hubby had the fried shrimp he subbed a baked potato. It was lukewarm and kind of hard. Food came out in a timely manner and out waiter did a good job.

Lovely view of Lake Ponchartrain. We sat outside because we had a pup, unfortunately missed the cool band that was going. Bathrooms were clean and smelled good.
Food was kind of small for what you paid and it was all deep fried. Maybe we should’ve asked more questions. All tasted good. We ordered alligator sausage (came as 6 slanted coin slices), bacon wrapped shrimp (large shrimp but came deep fried and only 4 pieces) a shrimp po boy (stacked! but the shrimp were not gulf shrimp, they seemed frozen), and a soft shell crab plate, which was also deep fried, unexpectedly.
We enjoyed ourselves but wish we’d ordered something blackened or grilled. Spent $77 before tip.
Service was great and I’d give 6 stars for atmosphere if I could.

Frenier Landing Restaurant and Oyster Bar deserves every one of these five stars!
I ordered the gumbo with shrimp, and it was absolutely fantastic—rich, flavorful, and seriously, I wiped the bowl clean. It was the definition of yummy!
Beyond the incredible food, the service was outstanding. I arrived right before closing, and they still welcomed Me warmly…. That level of kindness and accommodation is what sets a great restaurant apart.
Highly recommend Frenier Landing for a great meal and an even better experience!

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We popped in on a Thursday afternoon after arriving in town, and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our server, Shelley, was super sweet. The food was really, really good! We tried to go back on Saturday, but it was packed with a special event that had rented the place out. Our last night in town (Monday) is the only day they’re closed – or we’d have gone back again.

Nice restaurant on the lake. I ordered the catfish plate with fries and hush puppies. Can’t go wrong with that. It was really good. Sat on the balcony with a great view of the lake and a nice breeze. Customer service was really good as well offering different suggestions that I might enjoy. Overall, great place.

Had some time off from work to have a PROPER lunch so I looked this place up and gave them a shot. Coming from the main road traveling down the side road to get to the restaurant is a beautiful sight! I love the location over the water! Once I got in there was no waiter present, so I seated myself. There were only 3 active tables with guest with ONE waiter. After 15 mins she came and got my order and brought me some water.
Well once I got my food 30 mins later, my appetizer was cold, complete cold! I only have maybe an half hour before I get back to work so I just kept the dish. The batter on the tomatoes were very bland! Like it didn’t taste like anything. The shrimp were very dry as well.
Once I got my grilled shrimp plate, I thought I was in for a treat but …. I was wrong! The plate was extremely hot so I’m preeeeettttyy sure they nuked the dish before bringing it to me because my food was like warm. The BEST thing I had out of my 2 dishes were the Hushpuppies, if they would season their batter like the hushpuppies this place would be jumping!!!!
As always let’s take the time and apply some more love in the kitten crew.

Nice spot with a great view, especially if you sit outside! The Calamari, crab cakes, and hushpuppies were delicious! The grill shrimp was okay, but had a little bit of a metallic taste. The hostess and our waitress were great, very friendly and accommodating! Our waitress was very attentive, sweet, and calm.

The ambience of this restaurant is very good with a good view of the lake. The food is delicious, and cocktails were fantastic. The service is good, with a few exceptions. I took off a star, secondary to a few menu items being out of stock and not being told until after the order was submitted.
Well worth the drive to try this little hideaway.

Had the filet mignon with veggies and baked potato. The steak was amazing, and cooked perfectly with my request of a rare cook. The veggies, the zucchini was cooked to liking, the broccoli was too mushy for my liking. The baked potato was cooked perfectly, and was a loaded baked potato.

I really enjoyed my visit here. Eating while overlooking the water gets me every time. It was beautiful outside! The food was delicious! We started off with the bacon wrapped shrimp. They were battered & deep fried! Yum… then the seafood Platter. Was enough for my husband and I to share. Fried catfish, oysters, shrimp, hush puppies & fries. It was delicious! I ordered a side of potato salad just to try… it was the only thing I didn’t really care for. Our waitress was awesome!
