At our Florissant, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I like going to Captains D’s my boyfriend and I go there all the time, because I just love eating fish the only thing is the last couple of times that I was there, my food was cold when I got it! I don’t know if the cook, just fry up a lot of fish ahead,but that’s the only thing,is that I don’t like cold food when I get it, but the waitress/cashier was very nice when I brought this to her attention, she immediately returned it, and brought me back another but Big hot fish sandwich! I felt like that was great, great customer service she was very attentively our needs, kept asking was everything okay, do we need anything, how are we doing, can I get you anything else!!! Very, very polite and nice! We hope that we get her again, the next time we are there, because she’s going to make sure your food is Hot when you receive it! Thanks so much…

The service was okay, but the food was awful hush puppies taste like eating cotton, fish was not crispy but chewy and spongy not fresh. Green Beans was not edible way too much salt or pepper or seasoning or whatever you use to cook it with. Crab cakes was terrible very hard definitely not tasty the crab cakes was barely tolerable. The parking lot had dissatisfied customers. Because of the litter of the food containers with food thrown out of the car onto the lot a very unsightly scene. I asked it whoever is concerned. Please review this restaurant and please make the food better like Captain D’s is known for because the money that you pay for something should be something you can enjoy eating Captain D’s# 365117. New Halls Ferry Road near 270 Highway.

This location is a disaster! I waited in line almost 30 minutes to get my order and my blood glucose was dropping so I failed to check my order before leaving. When I got home, my baked potato was not in my bag. I understand things can happen but this was THIRD TIME an order was jacked up when I purchased from there. If you want a correct order, go elsewhere. Don’t spend your money at an establishment with LAZY AZZ employees who don’t double check for accuracy! If I could give them less than one star, I WOULD!

Every time I order from this location, they get my order wrong this time… They didn’t even pack it correctly.
Whoever is on the shift leader for night shift needs to be retrained … ASAP!!!!!

I just got my order from Uber eats and this is what it looks like. (See photo)
What is going on at this location??? Why are the managers not checking the food before they go out? The fish literally taste like it’s spoiled or rotten and it smells horrible. The food is NOT fresh at all! I’m not over exaggerating!
They didn’t even put it in the right package, and the fish is slimy and not cooked thoroughly (pink inside) … they didn’t even load the potato properly or cook it all the way through. (cold and hard)
Are they trying to make people sick on purpose??!?
As a licensed food inspector, I wonder when was the last time they had an evaluation?
Then They only put cheese on the potato as well… no bacon bites. Smh
They did not even add the broccoli on the side.
I ordered this food at 9:05 PM.
Corporate really needs to look at this and inspect this location because this is the second time I have another picture of the last time I ordered, which was technically four days ago… And it was also night shift again. Something must be done!

I get what I normally get which is the giant fish combo and I get to the window and they tell me the price $10.21, I give them $10.21 and the young lady says i can’t take pennies because its a shortage of pennies because they’re not making them anymore so they round to the nearest nickel. Im saying how is there a shortage and i was given pennies from my last transaction. To make a long story short, why would you round up a nickel and expect me to give you more money when my bill is less that means you still owe me money that’s stealing there is no shortage on pennies they’re just not making them anymore so its millions of pennies still in circulation so they are not going away. You guys need to talk to or better inform your employees because its sounds like they’re taking money from customers for no reason because they are misinformed. The young lady took exact change after I informed her she still owed me money even if it was round up.

I have been to this particular Captain D’s twice in one week and they were very consistent. The lady taking my order wears a blonde hairstyle and has a very good upbeat attitude. My food was fresh and hot both times! Good job North County is known to have bad customer service and from my experiences it was total opposite.

I went here to get lunch went to the drive thru got a 2 pc meal I look at my plate and I’m like what is this 2 long fish sticks they were so skinny 2 PCs make one like they just cut it in half and fried it ♀️ I said I don’t want this mam just give me my money back fries were looking old too. To pay $4.00 for a small container of Mac n cheese is ridiculous. There isn’t a solid macaroni noodle in this cup. It’s all mush!!! This location is trash. It looks derelict to say the least and the way this food tastes match. I might go get my money back after this.

This place is by far the worst restaurant in the world. How is this place still open for business. The food was horrible, and the service was just as bad .If you like playing Russian roulette with your stomach,then this is a must try for you. I was there for twenty minutes waiting on my food,and I witnessed nine people bring their food back. After receiving my food, l understood why. Everything was overcooked.
