All the servers were awesome, kind, planned seating, condiments, flatware ahead of local regulars pulling into the parking lot.

Not alot of food options, but buffet was worth it!

The name of the restaurant is cleaver.

They have tables, booths, long tables for large groups or for community seating. And they have a wood original round top, claw-foot table that reminded me of long ago.

For Those that can fix it, the bathroom desperately needs an upgrade.

We are early-to-rise travelers and were looking for a place that was open for breakfast. When the word “Diner” is in the title you should know what to expect. The crowded parking lot at 6:00 a.m. also confirmed our expectations: this was gonna be a great breakfast hangout. We were greeted right away by our waitress who promptly served us hot coffee. We both ordered the egg , meat, grits and toast option. It was served quickly and precisely like we asked: Eggs were perfectly over-medium; bacon and sausage delicious; and grits/hashbrowns done right. The Dixie Diner is not fancy but when you’re hungry and want a good, cooked-to-order breakfast at a reasonable price in a clean setting, this is the place to go. This little hidden gem is a place we will come back to on our frequent trips down Route 19. I look forward to experiencing lunch/dinner.

A very nice diner filled with nicer food! The food was amazing, I did the buffet and left happy for sure. The atmosphere is great as well as clean. If you’re looking for good country food, then this is the place!

The dinner buffet is great! Salad fixings and hot entrees. Beef, roast pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy, candied sweet potatoes, fried okra, and dessert choices!! Food was good, old time cooking. Very tasty and inexpensive. Only $33.00 for two people including soft drinks. Will definitely be back if I’m in town again!!

I took a road trip to Horseshoe Beach this past weekend and stopped at this restaurant. I had the French toast (3 slices) with ham & a cup of coffee. It was delicious. The service was great and the price was even better. All that was less than 11 bucks. It’s about an hour away from where I live but if it was closer I’d visit it every week.

Great little hometown diner with that real Southern feel. The food is always fresh, portions are solid, and everything comes out fast. Staff is friendly without being over the top, which I appreciate. If you’re looking for comfort food done right, Taste of Dixie Diner is an easy choice.

We had eaten here several years ago, and it was so so, but we had a few friends say we needed to give it another try, so we did. We both had the buffet. They do have off the menu items also. On the buffet, they had fried chicken, fried ribs, and meatloaf. Plus mac and cheese, corn, mash potatoes and gravy, greens, and a cheesy broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower dish. They have a very very small salad option. And dessert was either fried donut holes or chocolate pudding. It seems like a lot of locals eat here, which usually means good food, and some of the wait staff seemed like a dysfunctional family, very noisy. The meatloaf was okay, I liked the sauce on top, sweet and tangy. The fried chicken I loved the light crispy skin, but the chicken was dry. I really don’t like giving low ratings, and I really tried to find something I liked, but I have to be honest I didn’t.
