I’ve tried a lot of Peruvian restaurants so maybe that’s why my expectations were high. Anyway long story short our food was “overcooked”. The soda machine didn’t have any ice, I was sweating inside the restaurant, no A/C.

Tucked between strip malls and auto body shops, it’s a little hard to find at first but worth the search. They seem to do a lot of takeout business and there was a slight wait if you order an entree beyond the basic rotisserie chicken and sides.

The two of us ordered and shared the 1/4 dark upgraded the 2 sides to premium ones (tostones & beans and rice), and the Lomo Salgado and an extra side of yucca fries. Loved both the yellow and the spicier green sauces. Every bite was fantastic. The service was excellent. It was busy but there was still enough seating. Parking lot is tight.

This is such an awesome restaurant. They cook whole chickens daily and the sides are delicious. Not to mention, their green and yellow sauces enhance the flavors even more bringing it to a whole new level of deliciousness. Nothing was overly salty or seasoned. The sides complimented the chicken well. For the two of us, we ordered a whole chicken that we got with two free sides (15.50) and upgraded the sides to premium (additional 0.50 cost for each) and it cost us under $20 with left overs.

This is my 2nd time ordering catering from this location, and both times, the food was delicious! The staff was nice and apologetic due to the system being down when I arrived for my order, but things happen. My food was hot and correct…. down to the utensils. Stopped by for lunch at this Alpaca for the first time. I would usually order the chicken when I visit other Alpaca, but this time I ordered the Peruvian fried rice (arroz chauva). The food was good and it also came with a salad and dressing. However given that it is a bit more expensive and the portion not as big as the regular chicken I get, I am not sure if I would order this again. I think I’ll stick with the rotisserie chicken. The staff members were friendly and the restaurant is also clean.
