I came back to CPK after a long gap of about 3 years and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. We ordered lettuce wraps, spicy Chipotle pizza with chicken replaced by avocado (must try vegetarian option), both the dishes were fantastic. The fusili pasta was a great choice for my daughter.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant and I must say it’s improved a great deal. I ordered a “half” portion salad and it was delicious and so much, I couldn’t finish it. We also took a bake and take pizza home with us and had it for dinner the next evening. It too was delicious. We will definitely be visiting this place more often. Highly recommend

Great delicious food!! I’m gluten intolerant so I was soooo happy to discover they had a coliflower crust, and let me tell you it’s DELICIOUS!! I couldn’t believe it was gluten-free. Also I had the coliflower buffalo bites yummm!! It was a Friday after work so we were having a great time!!

Consistently nice pizza chain with a great dining-room-wide happy hour (3pm-6pm). We got BBQ chicken pizza and a beer ($7), pot stickers, salad, and guacamole. We usually order lettuce wraps but they’ve taken them off their (newly slimmed down) happy hour menu (see photo). It was all good and plenty of food. Their fryer was down or we would have also ordered cauliflower buffalo bites (they’re delicious too). The servers are attentive and friendly. We’ll be back.

Had lunch with a loved one at the busy lunch hour. They didn’t have a booth but were able to place us in a half booth. The servers didn’t rush us and came to the table at appropriate times to make sure that we had what we needed. The food was delicious. As with all restaurants the servings are not what they used to be and the prices have gone up for everyone but it was a wonderful experience and a nice semi casual place to have a meal.

On a bright sunny day after the movies, I took my family for a Sunday lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and it was the perfect choice! It is my first time trying this place here in San Diego and they didn’t disappoint. We wanted to try their mocktails and the Strawberry Mango Cooler was so refreshing. My sister wanted to have some salad and the crunchy Thai Salad is a must try if you are looking for something healthy and tasty! Moving on to their lunch menu, we loved their California Veggie pizza and the wild mushroom pizza with a dash of truffle oil. We had to finish with a dessert and the Belgian chocolate soufflé cake topped it all. This is such a nice place with good ambience, great food and service, all with an affordable price!

BETTER THAN THE BOX! I usually buy the CPK boxes at the grocery store and shove them in the oven, but nothing can beat the in-restaurant experience. It’s soooo much better getting my Mushroom-Pepperoni-Sausage pizza out of a brick oven and fresh! The pizza was super tasty and crispy. We got the regular crust and it blew our minds.
My party and I also tried the salad, it was surprisingly fresh and not too bad! It’s the Thai Salad I think? For dessert, we had the Belgian Chocolate Cake w/ Vanilla Ice Cream,. It tasted like a soufflé made in heaven.
Overall, our service was great, our waitress Sofia was very attentive and professional. She kept our drinks full on this hot, hot day. Sofia was also courteous and removed our plates without us asking. She deserves a major shoutout! The other staff were pretty nice too, only a couple of odd balls with staring problems, but not too bad.
The ambiance was relaxed for the most part, there were plenty of families and various age groups. It never got wild. This is a fantastic spot to see a Padres game! I got to watch some of the game here and they had excellent screens at the bar and in the dining room.

I’m truly disappointed with the service. Plates came not clean, the complementary sourdough bread was not served, the waiter “Nick” did not check on us at all, where we had to ask for everything “napkins & straws”, and the water was not refilled at all.
The whole customer service was not good, and not as expected! Definitely won’t come back, at least this branch.
The one star is for the food, as it was good and all the options we got were delicious.

Dining area becomes full of smoke! It’s a pity that they can’t maintain temperature and neither ventilation inside. Food is barely okay for price you pay and wait time can be excruciating! Waitresses are always in hurry . Saw people often complaining about issues. They offer $25 gift card and promise to fix the issues but those problems are never fixed. Nor that $25 card is guaranteed that it will work! Avoid this location.
