Life’s a Beach is the kind of place where everything good about the Cornish coast comes together. Set right above the sand, it’s a relaxed beachside restaurant where the sound of the waves, salty sea air, and big open views of the Atlantic create the perfect atmosphere to unwind.
Daytime cafe/nighttime bistro for local seafood-heavy menu, amid light blue decor with tiled floors.

Opted for the Cheese and Bacon Chips and OMG they were amazing!!!!! Washed down with a decent sized mug of tea as well.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Laid back service giving a nice relaxed feeling. Very clean restaurant, kitchen and chefs on show and a great outlook over the beach. Just perfect!
If and when we return to Bude we’ll definitely visit Life’s A Beach again.
We came here when our original plans for the evening fell through and I knew this place of old as I sold Cornish souvenirs here a few years ago.
Great friendly staff who knew their stuff.
My lady opted for the mussels which were not only wonderful but also immense! It looked like a casserole dish that they arrived in. She ate what she could, I had some and our dog thinks they are wonderful given how many there were. Truly amazing.
For my part I opted for the baked Sea Bream which was pretty big and cooked to absolute perfection, one of the best fish meals I’ve ever had.
Phenomenol food at very reasonable prices overlooking the beach.
Can’t recommend highly enough
The bad: Odd evening food serving times – check before arriving. Slightly overpriced pints. Service was a touch lacking – nobody even checked up after food service – expected a bit more at the price point.
The menu had a good variety of food and at reasonable prices.
Upon entry we were met by a young lady who was very friendly and helpful and showed us to a table with menus to hand, the décor and ambience of this place was a relaxing but buzzing vibe.
After placing our order with the waitress food came out shortly after all freshly made and the quality and portion sizes were fantastic.
I would highly recommend coming here if you have the chance and try the food here. The restaurant was clean and tidy and condiments were well stocked.
Overall a very pleasant experience and the food was fantastic will come back again in the near future!
The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff were really friendly and attentive.
Great food, chilled vibes, and unbeatable scenery make this place a must-visit when you’re in Bude.
Can’t wait to come back!
As I was driving I stuck to a couple of cokes, but my wife had a cocktail which she say’s was excellent quality, that you’d expect from a cocktail bar!
Parking wise there’s the main car park about 80-100 metres down the hill, or you can drive up and use their own car park right outside but it’s only for disabled who are using the facilities.
We didn’t eat here, but from our experience I cannot fault it.
Lovely food. We were given kind gesture due to mix up on dinner order. Didn’t need to but really appreciated the chefs kindness. Highly recommended.! Will be back.
