It tasted off. I tried to eat some but I just couldn’t stomach it. I put my napkin over my plate and went to pay. The waitress: blonde, caucasian, tattoos, loud, obnoxious, and righteous, seemed offended I was getting up to pay and didn’t eat my food. She looked under my napkin and said, “this is what an omelette is supposed to look like”….WRONG!
I make omelettes all the time, and whatever that was on my plate was not an omelette.
I was not making a big deal of it. I just wanted to pay and leave. But, this waitress was all offensive and offended I would not eat it.
She goes to her purse and starts bringing out cash, and says “I’ll pay for it”. I was so embarrassed. I said No I’ll pay for it. It’s no big deal. She looks pissed, and doesn’t give me the bill and walks in the back and completely ignores me. So I take out $15 dollars and leave it by the cash register.
Talk about unprofessional. Worst service ever.
Not only that but she asked me twice what I had ordered.
Never going back to Jojo’s, all because of that waitress.
Got the classic BLT which was perfect and the plate came loaded with deliciously well seasoned chips. Coffee was freshly brewed too.
If you’re in or around Abbotsford I highly recommend supporting this local gem!
It has a Mom and Pop kinda atmosphere.
Don’t let the Fish & Chips fool you.
They have an extensive menu… to the point making a decision what to order difficult.
Nothing fancy here at all, just good food, prepared by good cooks and great staff waiting on you.
Sunday after Church this place is packed.
No matter what you order, I don’t think you would be disappointed.
During my second visit, I had dinner on a Sunday and the restaurant was almost vacant. I ordered the Halibut Special with the Blueberry Milkshake. The bread halibut and prawns were great, while the fries tasted very good on their own. The tartar sauce was also great and made the seafood taste spectacular. The coleslaw, however, was mildly bland, even if it was free with my entrée. The milkshake was pretty great, with the whip cream flourishing with flavour.
So I recommend JoJo’s more for their lunches and dinners rather than their breakfasts.
First time here, and I had the fish and chips. Halibut and cod. It was delicious. The batter was crispy. The fish was thick and flakey. It wasn’t greasy or fishy. The chips were also very delectable. Thanks, Jojo.
Second time here, and everything was the polar opposite of the first. Basically inedible. Unacceptable.
