We weren’t huge fans of their infamous Caesar salad wedge.
A little pricey, but the pizza was fantastic! We’ll definitely order pizza from them again (but to go).
Space to eat-in is very limited; we were nearly rubbing elbows with the table next to us. Our waitress was friendly, offered suggestions, and was knowledgeable about the menu.

If you’ve ever struggled to find a gluten-free pizza that’s actually good, your search ends here. I’ve tried gluten-free crusts all over restaurants, frozen, delivery, you name it and nothing comes close to the gluten-free pizza crust at Oakwood Pizza Box. Their gluten-free base is light, fluffy, and full of real flavor, not that dry, cardboard-like crust so many places serve. It genuinely rivals and, for me, surpasses most traditional pizzas I’ve had, gluten-free or not.

I’ve heard of this place for months when people talk about authentic pizza. Living in NC for my entire life I can’t speak on that but what I can tell you is if I had ate it at the restaurant vs delivery I do believe it would have been the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life and I’m 53. Kudos to the Oakwood Team!

Decided to try this place out based on the high reviews, but it’s definitely overhyped. There are much better pizza options out there, and i’m not sure I would compare this to a NY style pizza. While the sauce was tasty, the crust was too hard, the cheese was sparse, and the pepperoni had curled into cups but were rather soggy and had pools of grease in the middle. Also it gets crowded here, im surprised we were able to get a bar spot. Seems like you need to make reservations beforehand.

My older brother hooked me up with this pizza place in Downtown Raleigh and this pizza was amazing. Especially the white pizza as with the regular pizza with tomato sauce. I even told the chefs that I really liked the pizza they made. I always love NY Style Pizza. And the back of the pizza box the staff was boxing up for DoorDash and takeouts has a great reference to Donkey Kong from 1981. Definitely coming back on my next downtown Raleigh trip.

They have a very good GF pizza. Service was very good. Atomsphere clean, nice but kind of cramped. GF pizza was also $25 each. Its kind of expensive and so was the craft beers.

My first time trying their pizza and it definitely lived up to the hype. Top 3 pizza I’ve had since moving to NC. Loved it! 8.3.

Knew someone had to be from New York, so I asked! The owner is from Long Island, and this definitely tastes like true New York style pizza. Comparable to Joe’s on E 14th in NYC or Home Slice in Austin, TX. An absolute must try if you miss NYC pizza and live in the area.

The square Jalapeño Roni pizza was flawless. I got the pro-tip from our server to add sesame seeds next time.
But the true stars? THE SALADS. We ordered smalls of the House and the Caesar (which were huge!) and they were are both in the top 10 best salads I’ve had a restaurant, and I love a good salad.
The dressing is perfect and the salads are perfectly dressed. The House salad’s pepperoncinis, salami slices, and olives were spot on.
Days have gone by and I can’t stop thinking about the salads. Order them both! You won’t regret it.
