At our Gallatin, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We went thru the drive thru and had the most unfriendy worker. It was around 11 this morning I did not get her name, she was young and it felt like we were bothering her, no hello or thank you no smile we had to wait quite a long while as she delivered some of our food and was waiting for the rest, there was no … The rest of your order will be up soon it just felt so uncomfortable. She just gave us attitude about everything. So much that as much as I love Captain D’s I will never go back. With so many people looking for work why hire someone like her?

Not too many times today do people take time to give good reports, but I have one. I have been to this store many times and I want to say how much service and quality of food has improved since Jessica has been there. I also want to give a high 5 to Merissa for assisting me and getting Jessica to hear my concerns for poor service that was with the previous management. Jessica addressed the issue in a professional manner and I would like the general manager and upper management to know that they have a good caring and professional employee in Jessica. It also shows that she has trained the front counter staff well in the assistance I received from Marissa.

They don’t have any sauce that you can get anymore. No tarter sauce, no vinegar, not even ketchup. They had hot sauce which is fine if you want that with your meal but it’s not nothing I wanted. Portions just keep getting smaller and the fish looked like they cut it in half long ways.

We are a senior couple that went through the drive thru today, completely confused about what we wanted to order… and made several changes. Miss V was exceptional in handling our mishaps. She was so friendly, not at all flustered by us, and gave us the BEST service! She checked our order to make sure it was completely correct before passing to us. We SO appreciate her superior 5 star customer service at Captain D’s Gallatin!

Yes, another Captain D’s. We ordered a 3 piece fish and a sampler. We have zero complaints about the presentation (paper plates stacked very full). All the dishes were fresh. Cole slaw was moist and crunchy. The fish was done correctly and the batter was cracklin’ good.

Went through the drive thru and asked for tartar sauce. They gave me rancid, old and separated sauce. Look at the pics.
Took it back in and was told “There’s nothing wrong with that sauce”. Had to have an argument just to get decent tartar sauce?
Hope that someone gets it together there before they put someone in the hospital.

I love Captain D’s but this location does not have good employees. It’s like you have to fight for the food you’re paying for. They never get it right. Not one order.
