We had a great meal here!! My husband and I are big on sharing food. We ordered an appetizer, a pizza, and a burger to share. Emily had the food come out in order so the table wasn’t over crowded. The timing was perfect. She even had them cut our burger in half for us before bringing it out. It was an amazing dining experience. The music was great as well and not too loud. Favorite date spot in Greenville. ❤️

Out geocaching with bestie & bestie jr when hunger pains started setting in. We found this spot as it was close to our last geocache and closer still to Trader Joe’s. We were seated quickly enough but the tables are set up so that some tables have chairs set so your back is directly in front of someone else’s chair sideways. So, the diner sitting behind me stared at my back the entire time they were there. I just found this the most awkward of arrangements I’ve ever seen in a restaurant.

I ordered a water & baked ziti with meatballs. When my lunch arrived I thought the meatballs looked dry but after tasting them, while they did look dry on the outside, they were moist and tasted delicious. The rest of the entree was a disappointment. I didn’t feel as though there was enough sauce on the ziti, it tasted overcooked and the layers of cheese on top had baked too long. So long it was hard to break off and enjoy in one bite – ziti, meatball and cheese all in one taste. The toasted bread needed more butter as it was just dry toast to me.

I had plenty of leftovers and tried to pawn them off on my husband for dinner. While he did eat it all he also made mention that even after heating it up in the microwave, the cheese was still hard to eat.

Our server either had too many tables or just doesn’t believe in refilling water. I had hopes that if my glass only had ice in it she would take that as a hint to refill it. It was not to be and I had to hunt down a drink soon as we left the restaurant.

All in all, this isn’t a place I would return to. I liked the atmosphere and the transparent kitchen, it just isn’t a place I would spend anymore money in.

This is probably the worst Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The bolognese sauce was so spicy and watery I couldn’t eat it. They did replace it with a to go plate of meatballs and marinara sauce and that was terrible. See picture for details . Barely any sauce and microwaved meatballs lacking sauce.

If you like Italian this is a great place to eat. I lived in Italy for 2 1/2 years and I believe the Italians would be proud. Service was great and it has a good atmosphere. My wife was really excited that they served one of her favorite dishes (Cioppino). The price was pretty good considering the deliciousness.

Server was extremely nice, good wine with a fair price, and food came out at a good time. Highly recommend the fried ravioli. Will be returning here, as it is one of the only Italian restaurants I trust in Greenville.

1st things 1st.. My waiter was very nice from the start of coming in & leaving…so 5

Now the food… ‍♀️

All of the food came out luke warm not hot at all & I’ve been to a Italian restaurant just like this one with the kitchen being the center of attention & all of my food has came out piping hot but here not so much..

The soup was good, like a 4.5/10

The Shrimp Alfredo presentation was ok it wasn’t a lot of food on the plate, which was a disappointment, but yea… THE TASTE… 0/10 it was pretty much bland bland.. like not even salt was added to the dish…

Lasagna 6/10 .. was bland had added salt & pepper to it.. it became a 7/10

Had one dish that a different waiter came to switch out became someone didn’t quite like their dish and wanted to try something else because they quoted it was “nasty” granted they could’ve just not had said that but they did anyway & a different waiter had said they never tried it & don’t plan on trying it with an attitude/humor maybe behind it.. It’s kind of as if she even thinks the food here is either not good or something worse… after hearing that I had already eaten half of the food because again it was a typical bland meal.. just add some salt & call it a day type of thing.. but hearing that just made me sick like wow if ur employees don’t like that food, then why serve it to us…

But yea, unfortunately, here was a NO for me.. I won’t be coming back here, honestly.. just passing through..

This place was a staple for a long time and has gone really downhill in these past few years. After my last visit this past summer, I realized the place was absolutely filthy (the shades haven’t been scrubbed in ages so there’s a bunch of food stains, and there was a whole nest of flies living in the ceiling tiles during summer) I have not been back. Gave me the ick – which is a shame. I didn’t even eat the pizza I ordered. It was a greaseball. This was one of my favorite spots – but their attention to detail has really suffered. PLEASE do something to bring it back to its old glory. I miss this place

I’ve eaten at Atavola for years and have always loved it. However, today they let me down some. I ordered the Commander’s Seafood Bisque, and it was almost all broth with very little seafood in it! I think I counted 4 shrimp and one piece of something that seemed to be a piece of fish. Other than that, it was just a bowl of broth, and much smaller than they used to serve! Certainly not worth the 15.00 ticket I received, and yes that included my soft drink. Come on chefs, get things back like we’re accustomed to!

I used to come here regularly in the past, but for whatever reason it fell off my radar. But recently I have gone several times and it’s back in rotation.

The food is always made with care and quite delicious. Never been disappointed no matter what I’ve ordered.

Besides the kitchen crew, the waitstaff is attentive and takes great care to do an amazing job. Even with a busy Sunday crowd they perform well under pressure.

To start of the food is alright it’s nice the pasta makes you full. If you get soup its small portion does not fill you up, we probably didn’t know what to get but the food was good and I recommend, the atmosphere was nice but cold but we did get to sit near the bathrooms so that’s good, and the server was nice and had good service, Price is high overall I enjoyed it and I recommend this place
