Totally worth a drive to have a great lunch and at amazing price. The pasta was perfect and the portion is beyond generous. The cheesesteak was also perfect, and paired with some of the best fries I’ve had anywhere. They’re thick, crunchy and seasoned well.
We tried dessert after seeing their stocked pastry case. The pistachio cheesecake was so good. The only very slight disappointment was the under filled cannoli that was a dried out from sitting in the case. The flavor was great, though.
Everything was so delicious and the service very welcoming, fast and exactly the home cooked meal we were craving.
They were friendly & patient with my questions and the flavor is good. It says online the crust isn’t flavored but it definitely is. It tastes good but not authentic.
I’m not understanding these reviews saying slices are large (“so large one could be a whole meal”) I have small hands and you can see in the pics they’re basically the size of my hand.
If you’re looking for New York style foldable pizza, this is not it. Twas hoodwinked. Wings were overcooked, dry, hard… my dog didn’t even want them after he licked off the sauce.
I LOVE pizza. Like obsessed. My whole life. Everything from Chicago, New York , Detroit, California/ caprese/ margarita. thin crust, bagel lol… THE ONLY style I dislike is hand tossed. This kind.
The pizza isn’t so bad that I won’t eat it but that’s because I can’t afford to waste. I’d rather have the $40 back 10 inedible wings & an unpleasant cheese pizza, picked up, not delivered). If you’re looking for authentic, keep looking, this isn’t that. You can easily get the same elsewhere for a fraction of the price if you want hand tossed instead of that “gem, hole in the wall, authentic style NY pizza” touted.
Also, be professional, I should smell pizza when I walk into a pizza shop, not cannabis,(not like they smoked in the back 15 mins ago… no, (not judging, but there’s a time & a place & its NOT AT WORK WHILE EXPECTING A CUSTOMER). I will be waiting for a an apology and a refund DION THE OWNER.
Edit: The owner made a joke about blocking poor reviews, I now do not think this was at all a joke. I researched further into this is indeed a thing, locking reviews etc.
We spoke all about how New York style is supposed to be & told him about my regular pizza place not doing NY style well, talked about how much of a treat this was & as excited I was & why & he looked me straight in the eye, shook my hand while simultaneously handing me crappy food I was going to be very disappointed in… I can’t believe I tipped that guy. I want my $ back.
I do have to be fair and say the ranch is fire! So good, really thick, you don’t need as many as you think because it’s not as thin as most. It’s more like dip.
FYI… while doing your research please know that the other Sophia’s on Lamb & this place are separate entities. Reviews online and in google are mixing them and it’s misleading. I reported this to Google as well. I have not been to the Lamb location. I am not speaking about them.
