The boudin balls were amazing: the shrimp was decent. The fries were good. The ranch was delicious. The chicken strips were mainly batter not chicken.

I purchased the shrimp ettouffee on Saturday and the taste was off, it tasted spoiled. I ordered the meal and a bowl of it and neither I or my husband were able to eat it due to its horrible taste. I called to complain and I was told by two different managers that it was ok and it was not! Please taste your food before leaving! I’ve had this same meal before and it’s never tasted this way.
Since the manager suggested that something was wrong with my flavor profile. It’s not. I’ve included a picture for guest can see just how different this ettouffe looks and imagine how awful the taste was.

I had the shrimp and whitefish fried combo. The whitefish was super good and way better than the fried catfish. I also liked the fries, they were really crispy and I liked the seasoning on them. The margarita was good but it had little to no alcohol, it was a bit too sweet as well. My wife had the grilled whitefish and it was bland, it needed way more seasoning. Some small part was also undercooked so she didn’t finish it all. I liked the hush puppies but the wife didn’t. The atmosphere inside was nice and quiet but the floor was really sticky. This place was better than Captain Ds but not Fish City. I might come back and try something else.

If you love seafood like I do then you can’t go wrong at The Catch. I got the Combo Fried Shrimp and Catfish. I got sweet potato fries and coleslaw. For just me it was $22.61 for my lunch. It would have been less if I hadn’t gotten the coleslaw. I find this to be an excellent price and the food was awesome and fresh tasting. I will be going back again soon for lunch. There is plenty of seating inside and outside when the weather is good.

Our food was not cooked correctly. My husbands had to be recooked so he ate alone. I had already finished mine. Not a good thing. We have been eating here since the restaurant opened and it has gone down hill over the last year or two. The Manager said sorry, but sorry doesn’t always cut it. It makes me sad mainly because my husband absolutely loves fish but he said tonight that’s it, no more. It’s not a fast food restaurant and that’s how we feel like y’all are running it. Oh well, I hope yall can make some improvements with all the low reviews I see and make it better.

If you like dried and crunchy nuggets, this is for you. They look like small chicken or popcorn nuggets. I could not see or taste the oysters at all. This is in contrast with the oysters prepared by another seafood restaurant at Altamesa Blvd where the oysters, at half the price, are protected inside a crunchy egg-like shell covering. You can then taste two tender and juicy oysters inside.
The two hush puppies with the order were great but the french fries are a little lumpy and greasy.

Visited the catch yesterday and we’ll definitely return.
So let’s start with the food:
•cooked perfectly
•the seasoning of the crab boil juices is what landed 4 stars. Me personally I would’ve like for it have more seasoning. The juice was translucent with not a speck of seasoning in sight. Compared to places like Red Claw where you seasonings all thru that bag and tantalizing on the pallet/taste.
•shrimp was good just need the seasonings in the juices like I stated for the crab boil since that was what I requested in the form of a crab boil.
•sausage was good
•crawfish was good. I just needed those seasonings to be superb
•atmosphere perfect
•staff was very kind with smiling faces
•clean restaurant and restrooms
•I liked the free margaritas
•corn was good
•potatoes cooked good

I Highly recommend The Catch in Burleson!!! Fresh fish served so Hot you’ll burn your mouth it you don’t wait a minute to let it cool off a bit. Free beer too. Yes, free beer. I can’t wait to get back there!!!
