Food was hot and fresh when brought to table!
Overall the food was good, would recommend adding some white gravy for dipping sauce for chicken strips.
My Spouse really enjoyed the shrimp poboy said it was 10/10.
Hushpuppies were good!! Chicken strips really good!! Pinto beans needed seasoning added to them..
Also would recommend more soda options.

I was excited to try The Blue Rooster as it came highly recommended. I was slightly disappointed in the wait time as there were 10ish tables available. The hostess was sort of lazy and did not do much. There is no changing table for babies. We ordered and it took quite awhile to get our food. Only to realize that the food wasn’t even hot, definitely was either waiting awhile or just microwaved. We had the avocado fried and grilled salad, the lettuce was only shredded lettuce and it was a poor amount. The Mac n cheese was sticky and not warm. The chicken and dumplings were good. The bologna sand-which was very thin and tiny. Over all, it was okay, not a place I’d come back too.

Friends. I am writing this so that you do not have the same experience we had. Unfortunately we also wanted to have pizza but the wait was long and we were hungry. So alas, we walked into this place. It smelled good but that’s where it ends. Started with a Moscow mule – not bad. Fried pickles and cheese curds – pretty salty but also meh. I ordered the chicken basket and was so turned off by the chicken. It looked rubbery and smelled OFF. Inedible. Fries are okay. But for 50 dollars and a stomach ache, please go elsewhere.

We were hesitant to come initially because of the mixed reviews but came anyways due to it being family friendly. The restaurant had a cute inside dining vibe. The patio could be updated, but the kids had fun. We had Anna as our waitress and she did a wonderful job making our huge party feel taken care of. We got a few appetizers that were okay but the chicken sandwiches were really good and flavorful. The coleslaw was unique with its cheese cubes and apples. Overall the family enjoyed the experience!

We were in town spending a weekend for our anniversary. We went on a Friday evening and were surprisingly the only ones eating in at the time. We shared the small fish platter advertised as “plenty for two.” It was more than enough for both of us. The fish was great! Hush puppies were the corn filled kind which I personally love! I never leave reviews, but the food was really good, waitress was really good, thought the deserved one!

We went around 4:15pm to beat the dinner crowd. The Family style Yard Bird (fried chicken) was the best we’ve had! The French fries were crispy and fresh!
Kids got to play in the pontoon boat that was in the yard… Nice patio with white sheet on the table for coloring. Great place for kids and families!

It was dead for a Saturday night, that was unfortunate to see. Because the service was great! The fried pickles were bomb! We shared a half order of the fried chicken with a side of fries and salad and still took leftovers!
The paper tarp on the table is awesome, interactive, and fun!
Highly recommend coming here! Seems even cooler when it’s not freezing outside, plenty of seating outside!

I’d give the food 0 stars if I could. Salad looks awful. Chicken is awful. $15 for barely any protein on a cheap salad and the chicken is dry and gross. I told them I had never been there before, I wish they would have informed me that their grilled chicken is gross. I would have opted for fried if i knew. Waste of money.

Overall experience so far is i cant even describe it. Took so long for the food I could of ordered a pizza and it would have arrived to me quicker. Wish I could actually give a proper review and actually taste the food. For a sit down restaurant you sure do alot of sitting and no eating. On top of it all for a place that has a outside seating arrangement with most of your seating outside. They sure are unprepared not having any propane for the upcoming season.
After a hour long wait I wish I could say anything good. Food was a mix of mainly cold and some slightly warm. Its like they sat our food on the side and let it get cold. Its as if they waited to get all the food out at once. That just ended up making us wait even more.i dont understand why there is souvenirs for a place i dont want to remember.And a little heads up if you want to have some of their signature cold fried catfish I say give it a try.
