9/1/25: colorful place & friendly staff. Popped in this Labor Day after some car shopping in Avondale. There were a few cars in the drive through but not too many, and there was no one currently dining inside so we had the place to ourselves (for awhile at least). The gals were very friendly & offered up advice when asked. Unfortunately, it’s been so long I forgot the drinks we ordered but have not forgotten that we both enjoyed them. 🙂 The small sweets (scone & donuts) were also tasty and hot, thanks to being popped in the microwave.
I would definitely go to Bad Ass again.

When I first arrived to Tollsen I had no idea about where or what I was gonna do to help myself in a homeless situation without going back to Phoenix or to a shelter, been there done that, I don’t want to do it anymore…. Even though I had no money to do anything with to begin with, I sat down in front of BadAss Coffee and plugged my phone in to charge. From that moment on, I was able to get not only what I needed but some creature comfort wants… The Ladies there during my little stay sleeping behind a bush more or less. The Local community along with BadAss Coffee, despite the fact that I am homeless for a bit, they all have touched my heart in a way I haven’t thought possible but they all in a special place within the deepest part of my heart, for life, bc they are more than meets the eyes. Come join me during the holidays this season and gather in and around these rural areas that are definitely back home country fried, Red Necks, HillBilly, CowBoy’s&CowGirl’s, and, Hay y’all it doesn’t really matter what the color of your skin looks like, or native or foreign… Down here at BadAss Coffee you will definitely feel like you are at home all the time and not just on special occasions. It’s 11am on a Monday this place is not even packed but has a very good coffee shop smell of fresh roasted beans and sugar, the staff is relatively reactive and timid I tried their Dutch caramelizer blender = The Turtle it’s not bad it has a kick in taste and is genuinely a refreshing take on a blender would go back to try the rest of the menu later but not anytime soon

Great spot for a stop with fun delicious choices, and a very friendly and nice staff.
They also have some breakfast options and pasties, free wifi, lots of indoor spots and some outdoor.

I LOVE this places coffee only place I’ll go to buy coffee. If you get an iced latte they put coffee cubes in it so your drink never gets watered down. The caffeine levels are definitely higher but I just get decaf anyways and get enough caffeine from the coffee cubes. Just good consistent coffee. If you like strong coffee you’ll love Bad ass. Only downside is sometimes the wait times can be a little longer but they always put love in their drinks.

Quiet but quaint. Prices are a little higher than usual, but I imagine that is the same as everywhere else. What I love the most. If those who love espresso the ice cubes have espresso in them and it gives the coffee a great flavor. Espresso lovers. This is definitely a must try. You might want to ask for the drinks to be lightly sweetened because they also do come pretty sweet for my tasting similar to Dutch Bros. When it comes to Sweetness. Very laid-back atmosphere and the service was okay.

Never heard of this place before, awesome decor, feels like youre on a boardwalk by the ocean! Had a Kona iced coffee and if you know coffee, Kona is top tier. It is only grown in Hawaii as far as I know and rarely offered as iced. A definite stop for real coffee lovers. Staff is super helpful also.

I got an iced matcha with oat milk and vanilla syrup. It was a very light green. It tasted like vanilla ice cream and not like matcha at all. I didn’t finish it because it was so sweet.
The customer service was good except when I went back inside to get an ice water, there was no one around. I waited for a few minutes. As I was walking away to leave, I noticed an employee sitting off to the side on their phone so I asked for a water.

Coffee was delicious and they use coffee ice cubes so your drink never gets weaker. I got the Monkey Mocha and my girlfriend got the Caramel Wave. I didn’t get much of a banana taste off of mine but that’s probably for the better. I was going outside my comfort zone ordering that anyway. It was great. I really like their branding as well. I noticed they recently revamped it and I think the choice was good overall. I bought some merch and plan on coming back.
The service was also great and they were super friendly and informative. I asked about if the chain started on the big island and they said yes. I’d recently been to Oahu and they said they are starting some up there soon.
