The workers need to be more trained on where to seat a couple when they are in formal attire. We were dressed and tried to find a nice place to come for our Valentine’s date. What a disappointment. When you see formal dressed couples, it is not best to seat them at a two chaired table in the middle aisle where there is always traffic passing through. We asked for a booth and was refused to be given one. We thought that this was a good choice, especially since we never had dined in, we usually order to go plates. This will never happen again, because we will not be back to this location in the near future and never will we order out for to go plates again. The only way that we will be ordering out again would be only because my fiancé like the food. It would have been better off going to the food truck. You ruined our Valentine’s date. Goodbye to your horrible service.

The place looks great and has a festive feel to it. Service is decent. But… the food, not so good. Total lack of seasoning and, thus, flavor. I had fajitas and couldn’t finish them and didn’t take leftovers. I wasn’t surprised being this far from Texas. Anyone that’s ever been and tried Mexican Food or tex-mex knows what I’m talking about. I don’t mean spicy, as in hot, I mean seasoning as in flavor. Salsa was underwhelming also. The best thing I had was the chips which appeared to be made fresh daily.

The truly only good thing that I can say, that was good about this place, was the waiter was a gentleman. I ordered two tamales with double beans on a combo plate. When the plate came out, it had all rice and no beans. They’re carrying it with heat mitts but the plate was cold. The tamales, had one end of them hard as a rock and burnt. There was even bits of husk left on the tamales.The sopapilla That I ordered was supposed to be a fried tortilla, but it came out in less than two minutes as a cold, greasy fried tortilla with honey and cinnamon sugar drizzled on it. The total of my bill was over 60 bucks. When I let the assistant manager know all of the issues that I had encountered, no compensation was provided, and the only answer I got was, I’m sorry

Every time we are in from Nashville, we love to eat here. The food is always great, the service is fast, and the place is very clean. Tonight, I got the mocajate, and it was a massive bowl of every meat. I highly recommend it if you are hungry and would go great with some cheese dip and Tortilla chips.

Los Portales is the best restaurant around. I usually eat at the original one in Murray. This was the first time; to experience one of the restaurants in the surrounding area. It did not disappoint! I rarely eat processed foods and when I do it is not a pleasant experience. I can tell they use authentic cuisine. That is freshly made from unprocessed foods. This restaurant is the only reason I still “eat out”!
