This was my favorite Jamaican restaurant but it’s like a funeral now. The food is ok and the females are evil. The females have dry attitudes and look miserable. The light complexion young lady is the nicest one. I love her, her personality shines so bright. I wish she child’s be there everyday. I prefer the Bouldercest location. The gentleman over there is so nice and so are the women. The food over there is perfect and fresh. I only eat on Covington when I’m not able to travel on the other side of town. It’s like they just gave up on the Covington location. .

We hadn’t been here in a while. It’s located in a storefront connected to a gas station on Covington Highway. When we entered, we were barely greeted by anyone. The server behind the counter was pretty robotic, just fulfilling our orders. I got a small curry chicken , and Wifey got a small stew chicken. The meals came with rice, peas, and cabbage. Unlike most Jamaican restaurants, they didn’t have plantains. The cashier’s demeanor was just as dry as the server’s. One thing I did notice was that the dining area was very clean. We packed up our food and headed home. Everything looked good and fresh. The food itself tasted okay with pretty good seasoning. They need to work on the customer service a little. 3.5 rating

HAIR AND PLASTIC IN MY FOOD. Literally just returned home to eat and this is what I find. Not to mention prices much higher than what I viewed online before coming to the store to order .

First off how can this store be Caribbean and serve pan seared food like the chicken was dry and there was no love in it. Like do you even stew the brown stew chicken at all!!?? The plain rice was the best part.
I also ordered the ox tail and managed to get all the fatty bits like come on the seasoning taste just like browning. I tried to give this place a chance and i ordered a few different times but the food remains the same. It taste like it was rushed…. The food is already expensive please at least try to make it taste good. The stew chicken should be falling off the bone from sitting and cooking in the gravy all day melting in your mouth…disappointed cause I spent my money and it wasn’t worth it. Now I have to find another spot.

I just enjoyed a good delicious lunch here! The jerk chicken& rice was sooo good with the right hint of spice! The staff were SO FRIENDLY. They even let me sample a few things I’ve never tried before! This is now my go to restaurant when I’m wanting good authentic Jamaican food! Thanks for a great experience!!

New to the area. I’ve been trying every Caribbean spot in the area. I’ve been here twice before during the week but it’s always crowded. Went here on a Sat around 1pm. I was in line for 25 minutes BEFORE I COULD ORDER. Only 2 other customers in front of me.
They have buffet style food set out but the move EXTREMELY SLOW. No urgency for the customers. By the time I ordered the line had grown to about 12 people in line. THEY NEED EXTRA HELP or the employees need to move with a sense of urgency when they see the spot getting packed.
Some of my pet peeves….buffet food not covered, saw 2 flies land on the white rice….but not many flies in the restaurant,….employees not wearing gloves, employees having extensive conversations over open food…..
There are other options in the area that I’m more comfortable with. The flavor of the food was OK.
Update 11/08/2022: This is not it. Taking another star away. Rice stale. Salmon tough as steak.

After touchdown, I was down for take out. Signs along the freeway during the drive from the Airport suggested Fireside Jamaican Restaurant. My love for Jamaican cuisine and the unplanned stop near Fireside made it the obvious choice for lunch. Call in orders are not accepted. They were busy but the wait time was minimal and met with good music. The service offered a slight bit of what some may consider rudeness, surely it wasn’t anything personal. Maybe it was more about culture. The food was amazing! The Oxtails were very tender, the rice and peas with gravy were cooked to perfection, the plantains were a bit dry but nothing the gravy couldn’t correct. Oh but wait, the mild Jamaican Beef Patty with fresh Coco Bread was the absolute best I’ve had in a long time. Fireside Jamaican Restaurant has 3 locations serving the Atlanta area with authentic Jamaican dishes. This was definitely a delightful experience. A great choice

I’m split on the service, the Yong light skin lady who served me seems like she don’t want to be there, while the one who cashed me out was pleasant and had even noticed i was short my plantains. The heavy set light skin one is typical of the bad service Jamaican restaurants use to give back in the day.
I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, and a side of cabbage.
The chicken was cold an tough. It looked like road kill that had been left on the side of the road for weeks.
The rice and side of cabbage was adequately hot, and had good flavor.
I remembered when the food there use to be good a few years back. I guess those days are gone.
I will not return, or recommend .

Came here after visiting the other location. This location seemed to be out of a lot of items on the serving line. However, I still got the brown stew chicken dinner. It was really good, and had the standard rice & peas, as those were basically the only sides available. This was disappointing as I stopped in before 5pm. Pricing is good value though.
