We were a party of 8 with 3 kids (7, 4 and 3) and 5 adults. We arrived and were seated around 135. There was a small lunch rush while we were getting settled in. We ordered apps (wontons, cheese curds and buffalo dip). They were all very ok but it took so long for them to arrive the kids were starting to get antsy. It was a long morning/afternoon as we went to a local kite festival and were looking for sustenance quick. I called to our waitress as she as rushing by our table before the apps arrived, anticipating that it would be a while because they still hadn’t come yet, And she brushed me off and kept doing what she was doing, saying to me slightly irritated, “I put your apps in. I have a process I’ll come back.” The apps finally came out and 10 min after that she came back to take our mains. The kids were starting to lose their minds getting up walking around, my four-year-old kept saying rather loudly. “Where is my hamburger I’m hungry. Where is my hamburger?” By this time, every table around us had been served. We were starting to get upset. 90 minutes after we were seated, we finally got our main courses, but they came out in spurts. I think the final dish came out about 10 minutes after the trickle began. My mom didn’t like her boneless wings and didn’t want to eat them, the kids nuggets were OK. The cheeseburgers had good reviews from the seven-year-old and my four-year-old. The kids menu is decent and came with several good sides like fruit, and a cup, a cookie, fries, And soda, although if you wanted something other than soda that was an enough charge. There did seem to be an up charge for almost everything. I had the stirfry and it was very mediocre. They comped us the boneless wings because my mom didn’t want to eat them, I didn’t give us much trouble about that. The bill was $200. All in all, it was not a great experience and we won’t be back. The service was slow, rude/inconsiderate at times, the food mediocre and the atmosphere loud… they had those toy vending machines which make bored hungry kids get whinier. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Stopped in here for lunch today for the first time in years. Ordered the lunch special with a 1/2 deli turkey sandwich and soup. My meal came out and I asked for more mayo as all of the turkey was crumbling out of the sandwich. Maybe it would hold it together. Was told it would be an additional $.75-$1.00… really. I said no thank you. Picked up the sandwich and attempted to eat it and half of the turkey fell out. Minced turkey is how I would describe it. I told them I didn’t want it and they took it back. When I went to pay my tab, I was charged for it. I did not take a bite and told them I would not be paying for this sandwich. I was told, “well then you can get somebody up here to pay for it”. Multiple bartenders told me that the only reason I sent it back was over $.75 Mayo. No, I wanted to make the sandwich whole. I’m not sure if this bar tender was the manager or not, but she offered a discount. I said no, this isn’t a sliced turkey deli sandwich. She finally told me… ” I’ll take your sandwich off but how about you don’t ever come back”? It was an easy deal.
Just beware of the service you get there and if there is any issue with your food, they will always try to make you feel wrong. I’ve smoked meat and sliced meat for over a decade. The excuse of its sliced in house has no standing on why your sandwich has shreds of meat on it. That’s the scraps.
1 star for a terrible handling of the meal situation from both bar tenders and what I would presume a manager.
3 stars for atmosphere because the pull tab lady was nice and welcoming!

Good atmosphere and great service. A bit pricey for the portions. We got the fish and chips and there was barely a reason to pluralize the chips. The fish fillets were pretty big though the coleslaw was good.

This was our first time at Chatters. We thought the menu looked good, so we gave it a try. Food was great! Atmosphere was a little nicer than just a sports bar. Our server was great, but got a little too busy to keep up with refills. We had the special which was stuffed peppers with chicken, tomatoes, spinach and balsamic glaze. It was excellent. The fried pickles were possibly the best I have ever had, and we’ve had a lot! Thin slices with good flavor, cooked crispy. Not a mushy one in the batch. The dill aioli was also great flavor.

We needed dinner for 14 on short notice after the reservation for my nephew’s birthday party at the bowling alley was messed up. They got us in very quickly. The food was really good and arrived at our table much faster than expected. The waitress was so friendly and amazing.

Our group had a fantastic meal at Chatters! I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Waffle Fries—perfectly spicy, flavorful, and crispy. Others had burgers with sweet potato fries and the fried pickles, and everything was a hit.
The food was delicious, portions were decent, and the service was outstanding—attentive and friendly. A great spot for a casual, tasty meal.

Unique and unexpected menu with amazing sounding choices. Went basic and got a burger and the boneless wings, exceptional quality of burger order buffalo and cajun dry rubs wings and both flavors blew me out of the water. Cheese curds were also quality. Would recommend stopping by to anyone!

We called ahead of time to make sure it was open and feel like we were almost talked out of going at all. We went even though the bartender said that they close up to an hour early because of the competition of the new bars opening in town and couldn’t say how long the kitchen was serving. Looked up the ones she was referring to and they aren’t even open yet! Plus she made fun of me for not knowing about the new places in town. Great work guys. It’s a shame, Chatters used to be a fun place and it still has arguably the best food in town. It’s pretty dead now and I may know why… staff that like it to be slow.

My family and I were spending the night in Monticello, and this restaurant was very close to the hotel and was very convenient for us. The restaurant was able to seat us almost instantly. The menu choices were very good and would suit many different tastes. I ordered the steak and chicken burrito bowl, and after the first bite, I had to take a picture. If you dont already have a favorite server, ask for Valerie, and she will take good care of you.
My family and I will definitely be stopping again.
