After an early morning appointment I discovered this great bakery with an eye popping array of fresh and delicious baked goods .

I enjoyed a delicious turkey and cheese croissant and a vanilla cappuccino. Very, very good! I brought home a loaf of their black pepper Parmesan bread, it was delicious tonight with my soup and a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant.

The atmosphere was enjoyable and the service was great. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m gonna be honest, I always come here because there are no more options out there. Deserts are average. But I got cherry tart kind of dessert and that was really really bad. Im forcing myself to eat. Also there are at least 4 people working there and service is still not good. Maybe because 3 of them prefer to talk while people are waiting for giving orders and just one blond lady is running around. Something is wrong about it. I don’t understand why people say oh it’s a good place!

Gosh, I REALLY want to love this place, but it comes up short in some basic, but important ways. First and foremost, their croissants. This quintessential French pastry is a must for any French bakery, and Bon Appetit’s ARE tasty – however, if you want it hot, the only way to have it heated up is in a microwave, which COMPLETELY ruins it! Instead of flaky and tasty, it becomes soggy and bleh. We ordered the ham and cheese croissant while dining in, so they heated it, and I was sorely disappointed. I ordered one to take home, heated it in the toaster oven, and it was absolutely delicious! If you’re taking the time to make them, serve them right, in my opinion. The other pastries were as expected for a French bakery, and personally, not my thing, but my family loves them (in general) and enjoyed them here, as well. As for the coffee, it was mediocre, nothing to get excited about, but it WAS served in a mug (versus paper), and I do appreciate that. Last, but certainly not least, was the service. It was quite busy when we went, but were were helped by 3 different waitresses and not one of them was friendly. They were very short, rushed and even when I tried to make a joke to lighten the mood, it was passed over. Overall, I recommend a visit, but I am hoping the owners read my review and consider a toaster oven to make their hot options reflect the deliciousness they deserve.

Came in to treat myself to a sweet birthday breakfast :). I absolutely loved all three items I had (a figure eight, almond croissant, and one vanilla macaron.)
The staff didn’t seem very friendly but maybe the people I spoke to were having a bad day! We’re all human after all.

This is a bit of a hole in the wall, & depending on your location a little out of the way perhaps. From our location on Okaloosa Island we were about 5 miles away. This to me was the gem find of our trip & we ate breakfast here both mornings. They have a huge selection of croissants & pastries, as well as a selection of macarons & other patisserie items. Prices were more than fair & coffee was delicious. We bought some of the chicken salad & rolls for lunch and that was also a home run! As a note in response to some reviews, you will not find the overwhelming & cloyingly sweet pastries here, they’re using quality ingredients to make quality food. They’re also busy right at open & the parking lot is on the smaller side, so if you don’t get their early there may be less variety. Highly recommend everything we got which was a chocolate & raspberry croissant, figure 8, raisin Danish, & a selection of sweets.

During our stay in Destin, we stumbled upon Bon Appetit French Bakery and Cafe in Fort Walton Beach, and it turned out to be a delightful find! This quaint bakery exudes charm and offers a cozy atmosphere.

We were on the hunt for fresh croissants and decided to try their bacon and cheese croissants as well as the ham and cheese ones. Both were truly delicious—flaky, buttery, and perfectly savory.

The custard cream, though not my favorite, was decent but could use a bit more perfection in my opinion. Even so, the pastries were a nice addition to our selection.

Despite the 20-minute drive from Destin, the quality of the pastries made it worth the trip. If you’re in the area and have a craving for French bakery delights, Bon Appetit French Bakery and Cafe is worth a visit—Five Stars!

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming from the moment we arrived, and the server we had did not appear accommodating or interested in providing a positive dining experience.

Interactions with her felt pessimistic and apathetic, which made us feel more like an inconvenience than guests. Overall, the service lacked warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

For decades this family owned and operated restaurant has been bringing exceptional food and service. Always a treat to go here and and get some homemade delicious goodness! Their selection of croissants are unbelievable and you cannot go wrong with any of the choices. The desert choices will amaze you. Great spot and a must.

I don’t understand any negative reviews here. This place was amazing! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and then walked through the menu. The croissants were delicious. The service was one of the best. Definitely coming back here when we are in town again.
