It’s breathtaking. A McDonalds from the era when they were GOOD. As of June 2025 they still have the greatest roof ever to bless the American fast food scene. I hope the owner sees this and understands, we love the french fry roof and it should be protected at all costs. The french fry roof is a critically endangered species, we drove 2.5 hours just to see one again.

Twas’ 19 days until Christmas and my family and I were out and about. Our stomachs grumbled, ached, and groaned so I reached for my mothers phone. I seen “Ironton McDonalds” was nearby so I went to my mother’s app and shouted “OH MY”!!! 20% off if you spend $10 or more. So we made a pit stop and ran to the door. We waited in line eyeing our deal, craving for our stomachs to finally be filled. We step up to the kid who wore reindeer gear and I stated “Can I get a burger, fries, and frappe my dear!” He quickly said “is that all for you today? After my family ordered we said “ We request one more thing today!” My mother snatched up her phone and smiled with cheer “can I use this coupon?” The employee trembled in fear… He told us to scan so we did just that. That’s when I first noticed the pesky gnat. The employee had a look of satisfaction and glee as he said “that’ll be 38.50” we frowned and we glared. We know that’s not right he said “my manager is over there.” She crumpled over and said “We won’t fix our mistake. That’s on the app.” I pondered why the app and store would be hand in hand. So I frowned as she crossed her pudgy hands “Thank you for your time your food will be right out” so we munched on our cold unsalted fries my mom almost lost a tooth in her overcooked chicken slice. The gnat flew over then flew away. He even agreed “They did them wrong today” we munch on our food until it twas’ no more. Then gathered up our thing, and walked out the door. It may have only been $7 and some change. But grouchy managers and employees chit chatting in a circle deserve to explain. I hope I never have to return, the thought of speaking to grouchy grinches makes my stomach churn.

TLDR ordered 2 double hamburgers with no catchup.
I received 2 single hamburgers.
Three Doubles made with ketchup.?
Then, finally, I got the correct order.
AND 5 WASTED HAMBURGERS 🙁
I went through the drive-through and ordered two double hamburgers with no ketchup(only mustard a d pickle).
I went back through the line. While waiting in line, I even called ahead and let them know so i didn’t hold the lineup anymore…( Honestly, I have had this exact situation happen. Plenty of times, you order a double hamburger, and they just give you a single hamburger.)
I stopped at the speaker and explained what had happened as well… then again, at the payment window, I showed my receipt (it was ordered correctly…)

When I went to the pick-up window.. bless this little girl’s heart… I had to explain why I was coming through again… then she looked confused and said said. “Um… ok… take this then”
(lol. It was like she didn’t understand, so she just gave me a bag of food, lol…)
So then I go to eat my food again…
She had handed me 3 double hamburgers for some reason. All of them had ketchup, lol… I wasn’t angry or anything g… I’m just dumbfounded….
I had to back up to the window and again explain….
the server at the window… she passes me off to another woman who seems a little high… That woman said the orders were correct… but I have a receipt and 5 hamburgers now that say otherwise(LOL AND COLD )
They finally got it right… but I should not be made . I feel like it was all my fault when I did everything g I could to explain….
The order was taken correctly.
Made incorrectly
I called while in line to help expedite the process… had to explain to the order box, again to the order takers, and then again to the server… I wasn’t rude… I wasn’t trying to be a pain…
Order takers and the window server. I give 10 stars that were very polite.
When the server sent another woman to talk to me. She was incredibly rude activate. It was my fault.
The final worker that delivered the food to my vehicle seemed very nice , but she was also very rude
I just mentioned all of this because I ordered 2 hamburgers and ended up with like 7 hamburgers and some cold fries. And that’s not what I wanted at all. I wanted to double hamburgers, not 2 single ham burgers. I want to know catch up on them
I even said, “No catch up. I only want mustard and pickle no catch-up.”

I didn’t like the fish sandwich, I had one the other night from Dunbar wv location and it was really good but the 2 from here weren’t good. Everyone working was nice and friendly. 52 is right there. There’s a plaza there and another place to eat, Taco Bell I think it was.
