If momma doesn’t feel like cooking and you want momma’s cooking, then this is the place to go. Good food, done country style and served with a smile. The atmosphere is equally county comfortable with lots of photos of nostalgia. I highly recommend the rutabagas and green beans as sides.

Food is absolutely yummy! Our waitresses never let our tea glasses get below half empty. Will definitely go again
Small edit. Went back again today. Our waitress was amazing. The lady who rung us up was rather rude. Thankfully the food was so amazing, she did not ruin our visit. I’ll visit again and update if needed.

A local staple that if you know you know! Simple, delicious and straight to the point good eats. Nothing fancy but good old times of table top dining with a family and friends alike atmosphere.

We love coming to Blue Plate every time we come through from GA to FL! The best meats (fried steak is our favorite), veggies, and desserts!!! We wish they would open one in GA near us because we would be there all the time!

If you had rather not have business and hour before closing time then just keep up poor service and worse salty bad food. We sat and waited no waitress..we called out across your almost empty restaurant to a bus person if anyone was working that could come take our order. It took four people to decide who it might be.. food was meatloaf mashed potatoes cream corn. Only edible item was cream corn. Hockey put served as appetizer were dense hard tasteless mashed potatoes lukewarm and meatloaf was like Mt. Rushmore of salt. Only thing was we called and spoke with Owners who at least cared enough to refund our charge. Thank you. Women at front cashier could have cared less and it showed. Food at other location has always been excellent no matter time close to closing or not. Get rid of microwave on south side.

Delicious, home cooked food with friendly service. Despite being very busy, the food came out fast and fresh. I had the buttermilk fried chicken with Mac&Cheese with steamed cabbage. Hubby had meatloaf, okra and mashed potatoes. Fantastic little gem.

I had country fried steak, rice, gravy and turnips. The steak was excellent and noticeably lacking in grissle. The gravy had an intriguing flavor-very good. I wish I could cook rice as well as these folk. Turnips were tasty. The only downer was the complementary cornbread basket was nasty. EDIT: It actually wasn’t nasty, just not up to the deliciousness of the rest of the meal. I might add this restaurant was our third choice of places to eat. No more! It’s number one now!

Food was good, except the Onion rings was to spicy. Next time we will ask if they can make them without being spicy. If not we will get something else.

Awesome service. A little pricey for the amount of food you get. My steak tips and rice was excellent. My boyfriend’s chicken was dry. He gives me the crunchy crust and it had a slight taste of old oil. We visited between lunch and dinner, so we’re thinking that the chicken may have been sitting for a bit. We may try it again but will go at lunch or dinner to ensure we get fresh food all the way around.

Nice little place to eat. Staff was friendly, it was clean, temperature was good. It felt like a good home cooked meal going there. The BLT was amazing, the Country Fried Steak was loved by my husband (and he’s picky) I got the blackened shrimp which was excellent with the cornbread dressing and salad, yum. Prices were great too.
