My husband & I went there today for our 19th anniversary,I got the brisket , cheesey potatoes & Mac n cheese, he got the full rack , scallops & cabbage & cheesey potatoes but stuffed mushrooms for his starter, at the end for dessert we got the peanut butter pie.I was to busy eating it & forgot to snap a picture but know it was in INCREDIBLE!!. Lemme tell ya I was not prepared for how large portions are , they are HUGE . When I tell ya the food was so friggin DELICIOUS, the brisket melted in my mouth I barely had to chew it was so tender , the best thing I’ve ever had. My husband said his ribs was so tender they melted away as well , fall apart right off the bone & those cheesey potatoes that everyone talked about in their reviews, YALL WAS SO RIGHT , oh my goodness , absolutely DELICIOUS. Thank you Firehouse BBQ & Blues for making mine & my husband’s 19th wedding anniversary so deliciously amazing! I’m gonna be telling everyone about this place.

Stopped in because it was on the way from Baltimore to Chicago the best barbecue place I’ve been to – unbelievable atmosphere. The firehouse actually has a history to it and unfortunately we’re here for lunch so I’m not listening to any blues but if you’re nearby, the food is fabulous. We had half a rack of ribs and brisket and there’s so much left over and the sides were good as well.

I can’t rate this any higher because there’s no higher rating… AWESOME

We had such an enjoyable experience here. From the moment you walk in Santini greets you with a smile and her “hoot” of a personality. My mom and I chose to sit at the bar, though wherever you sit is great because all of the serving staff is knowledgeable and friendly, but Becca at the Bar she knows her stuff and she’s no nonsense. We had such a delightful time talking and laughing and sharing stories and then the food came and you get real quiet because your mouth is so full of the melt off the bone meat they put in front of you. We did the sampler platter, which lets you experience all their different meats, sauces are tasty and separate so you control how much or how little and you can order a couple of rolls if you want to make a sandwich. This platter could feed 2 to 4 people depending on who’s in your group. The bartender can get crafty with your drinks if you’re willing to trust your bartender. All around, from beginning to end a great experience. Great fun and fantastic food…and spirits. Oh and get the peanut butter pie.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Gluten free options and huge portions for a great price. Can’t wait to return. If you’re in the area you should check this out!

Very cool place. Very unique. Used to be an old fire station and they did well preserving the history. They had live music when we were there too which was cool. It is not a great place for larger parties due to limited seating. The service was good and the food was yummy.

Firehouse BBQ & Blues – Richmond, Indiana

We just left Firehouse BBQ & Blues in Richmond, Indiana, and let me tell you… this place did not disappoint!

Pulled Pork Sandwich – Miranda said it was one of the best she’s ever had in her life. Tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. A must-try!

Smoked Sausage Stuffed with Pulled Pork & Onions – I had this and wow… absolutely delicious. The combo of smoked meats and sweet onions was .

️ Sides Rundown:
• Baked Beans – Phenomenal. Bold, sweet, and savory—probably some of the best we’ve had.
• Mac & Cheese – Just okay. Not bad, but not a standout.
• Coleslaw – Also so-so. Decent crunch, but didn’t wow us.

The vibe? Cozy, laid-back, and full of local charm with a touch of bluesy soul.

Oh and a shout out to Mo our ever attentive and knowledgeable waitress. She’s the best!

If you’re ever passing through Richmond, do yourself a favor and stop by Firehouse BBQ & Blues. Bring your appetite—you’ll leave full and happy.

Had a brisket quesadilla. I felt like it was a bit too greasy and water for my hot tea wasn’t hot enough. All in all though, it wasn’t bad though.

This place is classic. The BBQ is served lunch or dinner portions. But no fried food here. Learn the history from your server.

My wife loves barbecue so I went along for the ride. Have to say the cheesy potatoes were a real treat and the pulled pork was good too. I had pizza and as a connoisseur I prefer tomato sauce over barbecue sauce and regular sausage not smoked. The pizza was well cooked though and contained high quality ingredients. The rack of ribs looked amazing and as a rookie I clearly missed out.
