I was in Lincoln for work and this was nearby my hotel. King Kong on the main signage towers at least 30 feet but probably higher and can be seen from the highway.
Very friendly staff when I walked in and I got the double burger combo. I had been thinking about a triple but glad I went double. The burger and patties are huge! A half pound each but it’s a lot of food. They have extra large buns to accommodate and with the toppings it is actually a perfectly proportional burger just like double in size to what you would get anywhere else.
Burger, fries, and a drink will cost around $20 but you’ll be full the rest of the day or night. They have other options I did not get but saw some other customers, one ordered a gyro which also looked great!
They have lots of King Kong posters on the walls and a small extension section for 2 human sized stuffed gorilla animals playing instruments for a fun atmosphere.
Highly recommend if just passing through for the novelty of it but if I lived in the area I’d probably eat here once a month for sure.
Some people say the pricepoint is high but $20 for this is exponentially better than a chain burger place and much better value than that same $20 at one of those places.

Don’t let the mixed reviews stop you. The food honestly impressed us. I ordered the Single Kong Burger and it was huge, flavorful, and not greasy at all. It was just a really solid, satisfying burger. The fries were surprisingly amazing, comparable to the kind you’d get at Dave’s Hot Chicken.
The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean with a fun King Kong themed atmosphere that makes the experience enjoyable.
The only downside for us was the pricing. For three people, two Single Kongs, fries, and a Sir Loin, it came out to about $65, which felt a bit high. That said, the portion sizes and quality were definitely there.
If you’re thinking about trying this place, I would still recommend giving it a shot and deciding for yourself. And if you go, leave a review about the pricing. I’m curious to hear if others feel the cost matches the portion size and overall experience.

My husband and I tried this restaurant driving through on a road trip. We saw the sign on the side of the interstate and decided to try it. My husband got their single burger with cheese and I got their gyro with extra onions. It was so good! The meat was good and crispy. My pita bread was toasted nicely so it didn’t get soggy and fall apart. Portions were large. We ate around 5:30pm and was full the rest of the night! Lol. Very good!

Well, upon arrival the outside was fun vibe with the guerrillas hanging out in the yard, the lawn care def needed a little upkeep. My wife and I drove through and ordering was a little off. I’m sure it was because the wind was hella windy. We ordered 2 kong burgers; one with bacon the other with mushrooms. They made it fresh as we waited at the window. The bacon was super crispy and perfect. The mushrooms were top notch.
The lady who took our order wasn’t very friendly. I don’t think she smiled once. The price was a tad pricey HOWEVER the servings were massive!! The food was fresher than you find at most everywhere else. Fries were crispy ( which is huge for us). The burgers were stacked well and the toppings were plentiful. You order the main entree, sides and drinks seperate. The soda (Pepsi) was not Pepsi ish. . I’d def recommend it if you haven’t been there before though, it will fill you up and may even provide a second meal 🙂

Had sirloin steak salad… had my steak cooked medium just the way I like it, and they did a great job with grilling it medium and seasoning the steak, love their Greek salad, veggies and lettuce was fresh, and we all know the vinegarette dressing is good!

We stopped by the drive thru and ordered a kids chicken tenders, burger (no fries) and a gyro. It was a little spendy and came to over $30. The drive thru speaker must not work well because we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. The lady at the window was not very friendly and closed the window on my husband as he was asking for ketchup. The food was okay, but I wouldn’t go back.

The place had a good concept but was a little skummy. We got a gyro, fry and drink for $23.60 cash. Not a very good value since the gyro was ok. The fries were really good though. Maybe the burger was a better choice. Don’t go if you like a clean establishment. The bathroom was skuzzy, the dining area had peeling duct tape on the seats and water stained ceiling.
