We have always been fans of Mi Pueblito, however their new concept has brought them to a new level. We enjoyed the new food options & highly recommend the elote ribs & corn bread dessert. Service has always been fantastic with our usual waiters Adrian, Victor & Capi but in today’s dinner experience Eloy outdid himself with his service, carisma & recommendations.

This was my first experience in this restaurant. Because of some reviews I read online, I had a preconceived idea that the food would be subpar and overpriced. I’m happy to say, I was wrong about the first part. The food was scrumptious, however, in my opinion, the menu items were pricey.

I decided to go with the enchiladas, which surprisingly were the least expensive, but asked for my order to be customized with red sauce instead of green and fajita instead of chicken. I was very pleased to see that my dish was well served! It came with four stuffed enchiladas, beans, and a simple salad. The fajitas were very tender; everything was flavorful. The ladies that accompanied me were also pleased with their dishes – with the exception of the rice.

When the time came to pay, we noticed that the 18% tip was automatically included in the tab, which my table frowned upon. The tip for my tab was just under $4, which I thought was reasonable.

All in all, I was quite happy with my visit to Mi Pueblito. I will be looking forward to having the chance to visit again.

Food was dried on the inside, like it was from the day before, and was heavily burned like the fire was too hot, and at the same time had this black burn flavor like the grill was not cleaned. The food was horrible. Went Monday evening with my family, ordered the large parrillada and a plate of beef ribs. Then, the ribs were burn on the outside but rare on the inside. My son cut one and his plate was full of blood.
This place used to be good, but not any more.
Service was great tho.

Great service and food. A nice selection of salsa with chips prior to the meal. I got the steak tacos. A lot of food but very yummy. They also give u the option to dress your own taco. It allowed me to have 5 different tacos if I wanted!

1st time here, wanted to see whats all the hype at this place (moved here from DFW/SA travel USA/International). Clean area, good atmosphere, could bring out the music (seemed boring area). Food: Beans charo’s was actually good, chips/salas not bad but the $59.99 Parrillada (3 ppl): chicken was dry (outter season ok) but no flavor, the ribs (gave to my dogs, no meat/grease), other meat was like chewing gum. Everyone has different taste, different order plates, but after this experience will be my last visit. Brownsville is all abiut Taco’s and HAVE not once seen a real old Mexican homemade authentic plates that i’ve visited in DFW/SA/Houston and up north. This place is all show (high class $$ food, not worth it). Pollo Loco has better chicken than this place, just saying.

Excellent service and great food. The fahitas were the best I’ve found, I had the beef and my wife had the chicken. Margaritas were very tasty. I’ll definitely be back here again

First off, our server was great. He was very attentive and made sure our drinks were full. The food was just okay. The chicken fajita lacked flavor and plates don’t come with charro, guacamole, or rice like other restaurants. Over priced in comparison to similar places. We had two small pozole soups, two chicken fajita adobada plates(no sides), one Flecha del Indio, and one steak. Three waters, two teas and two Merlot, a small guacamole, champiñon ajillo, and choriqueso for over $240….that averages to $40/person. MAYBE if the food was tasty it’d be worth it, but not going back.

Wife and I had Lunch and ordered the Ribeye Steak with Margaritas! Eloy was our server and did a fantastic job. Why order fajitas when the steak is off the chain delicious! Oh, and don’t forget to order some whole grilled Serrano peppers to make your taco sing…Will be back again soon, thanks for a wonderful experience.

This place has gotten much better in staff service than what it used to be. Food is delicious and most surprisingly, I didn’t even know they served breakfast. Tried out their morning cuisine for the first time and I must say, wow! Well served and delicious! Highly recommend their breakfast.
