Last but not least. My crab boil is extremely dry! The sausage is soo strung out looking! Mussels were coated in seaweed pieces. I asked for half lb shrimp, half lb mussels, half crawfish. It definitely was not half lb of anything! If you wanted to get sick and cheated out of your money then this is for you. This is not real crab boil. Long John silvers has better quality than this place. I wish whoever is reading this can see this food in person! I’m really needing my money back! Seriously!!
The tots were fine. The sauce that comes with them is like a horseradish yum yum sauce, and it was good. They were fine.
The Rangoon had too much cream cheese. It overpowered any lobster that might be in them. Not worth it to us.
The Crab Cakes had too much herbs in the mixture and it overpowered the crab. Not bad, but not worth $17 for two Cakes. At that price, I want to taste Crab.
We also ordered Oysters on the half shell, and they were fresh and good.
The boil bags were boil bags. Nothing over the top, but also not underwhelming. You get exactly what is expected with the boils. The only caveat is that the sausage is cut into thin strips rather than the links that we were expecting.
Overall, it wasn’t worth the 1.5hr drive for us, but if I was in the area, and wanted a boil bag, I’d probably eat here again.
The reason I gave atmosphere a 3 was because the decor is about as lackluster as can be. Long John Silvers has a better decor than this establishment. It’s a good thing we didn’t go there for the ambiance.
Our server was fast with refills, and the cooking was fast. It was also slow at 430p when we ate.
First of all, I arrived at 9:05 PM and wanted to dine in. They told me the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes, at 9:20 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. They offered takeout, which I normally would never accept. That’s when the disappointment started.
The food was terrible, and on top of that, it was very expensive. Where I usually eat, you can get a good $30 meal and be satisfied. At this restaurant, they charged me $41.25 for absolute garbage.
I wanted to return the food, but they had already closed.
I strongly recommend going somewhere else. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. -10,000,000,000
With that being said, market price of $28.95 per 6oz lobster tail is brutal. We’d come back. But we’ll probably steer away from those items without clarification next time.
But seeing it on their website is literally what dragged me thru east side traffic in the middle of rush hour to get there in the first place. We sat at the bar while we waited for our food, and the bartender was sociable and friendly. Great experience. We’ll be back soon.
