Social Profile:

Tengu Sushi is a traditional kaiten-zushi (rotating conveyor belt) restaurant. Our sushi chefs are very skilled and enjoy speaking with customers while they prepare an assortment of sushi. Many of our staff are fluent in both Japanese and English so if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in either language. While Tengu Sushi specializes in sushi and sashimi orders, we also serve very popular Japanese izakaya-style dishes, such as Udon, Chicken Karaage, Chicken Katsu, Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu, etc. For those who want to enjoy their lunch or dinner with a Japanese beverage, we do have the finest collection of Japanese hot and cold Sake, Sapporo Beer, and Wine. Never had sushi before? Then this is the funnest way to experience sushi!

Casual modern eatery where patrons choose from raw & cooked fare passing by on a conveyor belt.

I came sat down thinking it was only going to be 4 star experience and it was a 5. Everything I had at lunch was fresh and delicious. The staff was very attentive and the atmosphere was nice and quiet there was a slight off putting smell but it went away very fast. Have the salmon belly and the medium fatty tuna.

I’ve been tried a lot of Japanese restaurant in Seattle area, The sushi place definitely is outstanding! The fish is fresh, beautifully presented, and thickly sliced. A truly premium Japanese dining experience. They also have wonderful desert! My kids love it. Parking is convenient! It’s a great place to bring kids and enjoy as a family.

The service was very good; I have nothing to complain about regarding the waitstaff. However, the food was very basic. It was not pleasant at all to see the same three sushi rolls going around on the conveyor belt over and over again.

When you go to a place like this, you expect variety and dishes that justify the price. Here, the same rolls kept circulating from the moment we arrived until we left. In order to get what we were actually waiting for, we had to order it separately.

I do not recommend this place.

I was looking for a quick lunch spot and this place delivered. I tried the bento box, which was a great choice because it let me sample several different things. The main protein was chicken katsu which was tender and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the side dishes like the seaweed salad and the shusi rolls. The presentation was lovely, and the bento was a great value for the price. The service was fast and friendly, making it an ideal choice for a busy lunch break.

Last time I was here was 3 years ago!

Google let us know it would be a 30min late, so it was not surprising when that was true. We had a pleasure of looking at the menu as we waited and we ordered everything we wanted.

Great prices, the $15 rolls section is to DIE for! The sushi tower was flipping incredible, beautifully designed. It was worth it.

Never had I drunk the beer before but it did the trick!

Treat ourselves!!!

We’re from out of town, and we just went to this restaurant, and we ate here. This is my honest review of this Japanese restaurant. It is a pretty restaurant, and the food was okay—nothing special in terms of its taste. Its prices were a bit expensive. At the end of our meal at this restaurant, a waitress gave me a bill. He gave me the bill with a 20% tip on our meals, as if I was going to give him 20%. This is very WRONG. A tip is an etiquette, not required. Please don’t be awkward about this type of tip. You are not required to give a tip if you don’t want to—it all depends upon its service and its food. Actually, there were cafes/restaurants doing this at the time of its bills. Be aware of this. Of course, if you want to, please go ahead. There is NO service—they do what they are supposed to do. Nothing special.
Personally, I would not visit this restaurant again.

This is such a good place to get quick, fresh, good sushi.

I’ve loved this place for years so I’m happy we had a chance to eat here during our recent visit to Seattle. When we lived in Seattle we would eat here regularly so I’m happy to see they are still around and the food is still tasty as ever.

They have a wide selection on the belt and if you want more they have an excellent menu to order from.

With the demise of Blue C sushi, I think Tengu is the only sushi train restaurant in Seattle.
They survived COVID and thrived. The menu has expanded and you see several fishes which I have not seen served in traditional sushi places. Lots of selection and they can also cater to special requests. Fish is fresh, service is fast great place

To be very honest, I wasn’t expecting much from a conveyor belt sushi spot. But the quality was above average for other similar conveyor/casual sushi spots. I love the cuts they offer here that many casual spots don’t, such as chu-toro, uni (both i didn’t get to try, they didn’t have any) , etc

Great attentive service and great spot for a decent above average casual sushi. I go for traditional pieces.

Really enjoyed the taste, everything was clean tasting, not fishy at all.

Highlights:
Hotate (scallop)
Oshinko
Negi Hama
Ikura
Salmon Belly

The amaebi was a little unclean tasting and the head was not as crispy as I usually get at other places and not seasoned. But it was okay.

Overall I would come again, wish we had something similar in Seattle or district area

Took my, mother, niece and nephew here for dinner after a movie. The kids loved it. They were anticipating, watching, and commentating for every dish that came down the conveyor belt. We all enjoyed the food we picked.
