I came here with a friend for the very first time for a brunch.
The food was absolutely wonderful! I had the gyro meal and the meat melted in my mouth! Everything was well seasoned and the servings were large. The price was very, very reasonable. It was packed, so we had to wait a little for our food but they kept us supplied with coffee until it was ready! Very welcoming and comfortable environment. Good place to visit with family or friends, plus friendly and efficient service. I think this is our new favorite restaurant !

Just got back from breakfast at the Black Bear Family Restaurant and I already cannot wait to go back! The food is delicious, and the prices are fantastic! Our server was so delightful (so was the host!) and the ambience made it seem like a cozy, home cooked, up-north cabin breakfast. Thank you Black Bear, see you again soon!

Very good service! We needed a different place to sit due to not enough room for everyone and they sat us at the perfect booth. Waitress was wonderful! Very attentive and respectful. She was very nice. Food was good too. Maybe a bit pricey for a family style restaurant. Overall was a good experience.

We love this family restaurant! You might have to wait a little to be seated as they are always packed. But prices are fantastic and the food comes out hot and fast! Their soups are 10/10 and come complimentary with most meals! Service is always fast and friendly:)Great place for affordable family food ❤️

Blackbear Restaurant is awesome! The gyro plate rocks — tons of flavor and a great portion. The fries and toppings were fresh, and everything came out hot. Great price for the amount of food you get, and the party vibe in the place makes it even better. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

My Dad and I have frequented the Golden Basket since I was little! We used to live just a couple houses away from here and the restaurant was basically our kitchen LBVS. It is now run by new owners with a new name… Black Bear Family Restaurant! I got the same comfortable and familiar vibe when I walked through the door! I love that they have a lot of the same menu options from my childhood and the food tastes sooo good!!! The staff are very friendly, attentive, and joke with their regular customers 🙂 I wish I could eat here with my Dad everyday like we used to! I miss that… Now he lives in Fremont.

One of my favorite places to dine in town! The bear theme is so cute. The value here is excellent; you can get a dinner item that includes the entree, a soup/salad, choice of potato, AND dessert…and almost all those options are under $16. The food’s always served hot and tasty and in good time. The staff is always as good, if not better, than the food. I hope those doors stay open a very long time.

The strawberry waffle is outstanding. Bacon, well, it’s bacon so it’s wonderful. I liked the hash browns also. Cooked perfectly. Server was on the spot and the food came out really quick.
