At our Charlotte, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Yutako wasn’t welcoming customer service was garbage I was never offered the special nor was I told about the specials However a gentleman came in behind me a he was all bells and whistles offering the best customer service. Now after I mentioned this to the other customer then he decided to ask me if I wanted any condiments as for the food save your money sad to say the Health Dept was doing a inspection so that was uncomfortable especially when the cook says oh we can still stay open with a D $16.42 wasted

Food here is really good, never heard of this place, we stopped on our way to the airport. Was I amazed how good the food was. The fish was perfectly battered and crispy. Shrimp tasted good and fluffy. Chicken strips were very good and tender. The fries were so crispy, the hush puppies were over cooked. Other than that, I loved this place. Didn’t see that many people come in, however, the drive thru line was good. The bathrooms were clean, plenty of seating, and parking. Highly recommended.

The food looked absolutely nothing like the pictures online. I have never written a review on a food establishment before but this place was absolutely AWFUL. I took a few bites and instantly wanted to throw up. Do not go here, it will mess your stomach up.

Nothing special when referring to the entire menu. The fish here is great! My grandmother and grandfather loved this place. The taste is still the same and they actually do have the best tartar sauce if you ask me. I say go around the time they first open for the best freshness and of course if the owner is there the food will definitely be fresh. But give there fish a try and don’t forget the tartar sauce!!

Great little seafood place! I’m from Utah. I made sure I stopped at this restaurant before I went back to Utah. Wish we had Captain D’s here.

The Big Fish Sandwich combo is a perfect way to get my quality seafood fix for the day at a manageable price. The bread they use for the sandwich is good. The fish and sauce go together perfectly! I really enjoy the flavor of Captain D’s and this location upheld that standard. The inside is also open for indoor dining. This place is clean and there were tons of seats available. Right when I walked in the staff greeted me with a smile and we had a nice interaction. Next time I go I’m trying the Fish Platter!

Night shift takes forever and they literally just sit together and just talk and stare at you while u wait for your food idk if it’s only one person back there doing their job but too many are in the front sitting on the counters not doing their job.

Went throught drive through to order and after the long wait yo be served Cold food was make no sense. The fish didn’t taste right not sure what’s going on here but I will not be waisting any more time are money here

I went by this Captain D’s and after waiting about 30 minutes in line I got my family meal and we found what WE BELIEVE to be a bloody bandaid. I will say allegedly until it is tested because it is fried and was in the bottom of our food. It looks like a bandaid with blood and also a sticky adhesive clear part and It does NOT look edible and is of a odd texture. I contact the store and no one was available even the next day just kept being told the manager was at the bank. I contacted corporate got no response back even a week later and we went to the ER as well. I also contacted the health department to trigger an investigation. The lack of follow up and concern alone is unprofessional but if this is what we believe it is, Captain D’s is about to have a serious issue. I urge you to think twice before going here and CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE EATING IT!
