Reviews
When I called the restaurant to raise my concerns, instead of being apologetic or helpful, they started arguing with me! I politely asked to speak with the management, but they refused to let me talk to anyone in charge. Completely unprofessional behavior.
This kind of food and service is unacceptable. I’ve attached pictures so you can see for yourself. I will be reporting this place to the Department of Public Health.
Avoid this place at ALL costs.
This time, most of the food was actually good except the Pav Bhaji — once again, the same issue as before.
While my more recent visit was definitely better overall, the Pav Bhaji still remains a consistent disappointment. If they can improve that dish, the whole experience would be much more enjoyable.
First experience:
I decided to order from Eggholic after seeing good reviews, but I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered the Pav Bhaji and the Samosa Wrap. I specifically asked for extra cheese in my wrap, which I was charged for, but there was no cheese at all inside.
As for the Pav Bhaji – the name itself suggests you should get pav but instead, they served it with regular white bread. The so-called “bhaji” was just an oily curry of potatoes and peas, with no onions or anything on the side. It felt like a careless, unauthentic attempt at a dish that should be much better. Overall, very disappointing — definitely not what I expected based on the reviews.
Ordered the paneer masala sandwich and the egg bullet curry (can’t remember the exact name).
The bread for the paneer masala sandwich tasted stale. And the paneer was so chewy it felt like I was chewing rubber. I get they don’t make the paneer mix everyday but if you’re charging $12 for a simple sandwich, I expect fresh-er ingredients. Horrible sandwich for an exorbitant price.
The egg bullet curry was so awful it felt like they forgot the masalas. All I could taste was boiled eggs, spring onions and oil. For $16, this dish was beyond terrible and I’m surprised it even made it to the menu. This was my last time ordering from this restaurant.
I ordered the mango mastani and it was SO GOOD! the paneer masala sandwich was also great! I definitely recommend this place!
(Also want to shout out to the interior decor team for their creativity with the very cheesy and very on the nose quips on the wall and on the serving sheets – they’re fun and lighthearted and creative )
The only feedback I can give is that the chai can be a bit warmer? But it doesn’t really bother me, soo ♂️
I sincerely request that you please preserve the authentic taste and richness of Indian cuisine instead of altering it . True Indian food, when prepared with its original flavors and methods, is inherently delicious and needs no compromise.
