We ate this morning (12/27/25) at Waffle House on Randleman Rd when my friends were on their way from NC to NJ. We were greeted warmly, and we sat down and talked about how my mom had emergency surgery on Christmas Day. Our server Lourdes overheard this conversation, and when we came up, said she didn’t want to interrupt us because the conversation sounded important. That right there would be enough to warrant five star service, for that kind of situational awareness, but she continued to rock. After we ordered, she found ways to charge our breakfasts in different ways that made more sense, and told us about those. She refilled our coffee multiple times. Checked in on us mutliple times. She just made the experience overall amazing. And when people have that kind of awareness and kindness, it needs to be recognized. I want to commend Lourdes for her kindness and professionalism. She is an asset to the Waffle House brand.

Greeted by pleasant staff, great environment. Helped by Amaris and her service was elite. She handled our party of 10 people without any hiccups. Very accommodating with seating. Didn’t have to ask for anything. Syrup, condiments and coffee refills were provided without asking. I would definitely come back just for the service.

With Waffle House there is an unspoken understanding that the food is usually better at night. After ordering our food at 2:01 A.M we along with others have not received our correct food (2:54 A.M). Some have left and came back to get their food after being told that “No refunds could be provided until the morning by the manager.” While that is understandable. No attempts at making a list of the people who need to be refunded were made. Meaning that anyone who was promised a refund has no physical ticketing or evidence. No one preparing or handling food wore gloves. I had a grit bowl and though the food was tasty there were eggshells in the eggs.
I sincerely hope that changes are made to this establishment for its betterment.

I must say I was pleasantly pleased with the Cook who was only 20 years old Miss Reina, who prepared our meals at Waffle House yesterday. She was very thorough. Very meticulous how she made her plates. I highly recommend waffle House on round Road. Please ask for Miss Reina, very good chef!

When I arrived here around 6 something am, no one came out to greet me. A young lady by the name of Ameris I believe came in shortly after. She greeted me as she came in the door. When she returned from the back, she asked me did anyone come out to help me. I said no. She took my order and another customers order. She cooked and gave us our order to go. She apologized for the wait and thanked me for my service. Kudos to that lady! Shame Shame for whomever didn’t come out to help Waffle House Customers! Also the facility was a mess, and the restroom was very disgusting!
