This was my first time here and it was delicious! The restaurant was clean and our waiter Alex was great. We ordered the garlic steak bites for an appetizer, my husband had the Meatloaf and I had the chicken and biscuits for our entrees. Everything was tasty. My husband’s favorite was the cornbread accompanied by butter and syrup. He says it tasted like pancakes. For dessert, I ordered the half baked skillet a la mode. Which was a gooey cookie and brownie in a skillet topped with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend making reservations even for just 2 people. Or you have the option to sit in the bar area. We will be back again to try their other dishes!

What a wonderful experience going to the Farmhouse for the first time in Gambrils, Maryland.

The ambiance of the restaurant is calm and very laid back – it has a country feel, the music wasn’t too loud and now let’s talk about the service we received!

It was OUTSTANDING!!!!

My friend and I went there for dinner to celebrate her birthday and we had Layla for our server…she treated us so well!!! She was prompt, kept checking on us, pre bussed our table, but most of all, she was super friendly, smiled A LOT, knew the menu and offered us some options – but most of all, she treated us like family and for that, I will go back and take more people with me!!!!!!

I had the meatloaf dinner and it did not disappoint! The portion for the cost was fabulous! My friend had the salmon and it was a nice portion as well. We had the Brussel sprout appetizer and that was to die for and then I had the brownie dessert – you have to try the brownie dessert!!!!

Lastly, the manager came around to our table to see how everything was going – it’s a very friendly and nice place to eat!
I’m giving this experience 10 STARS!

Omar and Brenda were the truth! Staff is extremely pleasant! Extremely accommodating. My friend and I brought our daughters who are four and three and we were extremely comfortable the entire meal. The only downside was that my friend did not like her short rib melt due to the amount of fat ratio however, Omar and Brenda reassured that it was OK to take it off of the bill and offered to replace it with another meal or a dessert! We will be back! The Ribeye was impeccable, to die for!!

We stopped by The Farmhouse Gambrills this lovely Saturday afternoon, and honestly, this was the best decision of the day! The wait for a table was over an hour, but here is a pro-tip: seating at the bar is self-seating! We grabbed spots right away with zero wait, and they offer the full menu. Our bartender (and really, our caretaker for the afternoon), Leila, was fantastic and took great care of us.

They start you off with free cornbread served in a cool little cast iron skillet. With that butter melted on top, it was great. My only tiny critique is that it was a little difficult to get out of the skillet, they probably just need to grease the pan a bit more.

For an appetizer, we ordered the Bruschetta. It came out fast, the presentation was amazing, but the taste was even better. The freshness of the flavors was ri-damn-diculous! The fresh mozzarella, onions, pesto, heirloom tomatoes, and balsamic glaze completely set that thing off. I do wish the bread was toasted just a bit crispier, but it was still a winner.

My Wife ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, and luckily she was in a sharing mood! I am so glad she let me try it because, as she stated, it was sooo good. The blackened chicken was cooked perfectly and really set the Alfredo off. The pasta tasted fresh, and the sauce was excellent. It was just a great choice with amazing flavor.

I got the Bison Smashed Burger, and it was absolutely on point. I love that the bison meat is locally sourced, and it was incredibly flavorful, dare I say, even more flavorful than a regular beef burger! It wasn’t super big, but it was definitely big with flavor, and I was completely full when I was done. That toasted buttery bun really added to the experience. I sliced up my pickle spear, added it straight to the burger, and man, those flavors just popped in my mouth. I love when food tastes so good that you still have the flavors lingering when you’re done to remind you of what you just ate. I would say order what we ordered and you won’t be sorry!

We ended up ordering a Peach Cobbler to go because the guests sitting next to us got one and highly recommended it. I’ll update this review with the cobbler once we find another stomach to enjoy it with at home, LOL!

The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. Honestly, even if we had to wait that hour for a table, it would have been worth it. 5-star experience all around. I have zero complaints and am already looking forward to our next visit.

the taste of each dish was pretty good but nothing came out hot.

skillet cornbread not too sweet 8

deviled eggs : 6. lacking good flavor with the combination. the mustard they use is wrong which i think was dijon mustard but im not sure. I just know it wasnt for me

traditional meatloaf 7. little dry but flavor was there would have been better if hot

honey glazed salmon: 8 cheese palenta didnt like. but the salmon cooked well sweet which i like because salmon is a healthy fish but can be very bland. I think a better side dish would be some form or rice.

Farmhouse wings: 7 we had the honey old bay they were crispy but the flavor of the honey and old bay was lacking. needed more seasoning but I did like their ranch.

overall worth a check out they might have been short staff thats why the food wasnt hot when it came out. I would definitely if in the area try it again.

I was in town visiting family and my daughter just moved into town so she recommended we try this restaurant. My sister and I decided to invite her there. There were 6 in our party. The ambiance is very cool and it’s very clean. We started with deviled eggs and Chesapeake eggs, which were a delicious appetizer. My Chesapeake pasta came with shrimp and crabs and was very good. Also ordered was a filet, a pizza, a salmon dish and a bison burger. The burger was served medium rare not medium as requested. My sister also said the fries were soggy. The filet came without a steak knife, which was odd. Otherwise the food was tasty. The issue was our waitress, who disappeared after bringing our drinks. Once we were finished she finally came to check on us. The place was not packed as there were empty tables near us. I chalked it up to the automatic 18% tip they advised would be charged. There was no incentive to go above and beyond. Ironically, I usually tip a minimum of 20%.

We love this spot!!! The music, food, decor, ambiance, and SERVICE are ALWAYS TOP TIER! We sat at the bar with Julian who gave us the best service and food recommendations I’ve received in a restaurant in a long time! As someone who worked in hospitality for many years, I was very impressed with his menu knowledge, mixology skills, and level of food expertise!

The rack of lamb was delectable! A tasty grilled char but still cooked medium to perfection! The catfish fingers had a tasty breading and were also fried hard to my satisfaction! The mashed potatoes were light and whipped and the green beans were even tossed in a delicious sauce!

The pumpkin pie bread pudding was a serious problem (in the best way possible!) The textures complimented each other so well and the whiskey glaze truly took it over the top! 10/10!!!

The only constructive criticism I would share with management is there has been some inconsistency with the hours posted on Google v. the actual closing time of the restaurant. We tried to go late night once (around 12:30am on a Saturday when it says they’re open until 1:30am), but the restaurant was already closed and the door was locked.

Otherwise, in my humble opinion, this is the best restaurant in Crofton/Gambrils!

Our first time visiting! Josh was our server and made this whole experience subpar! The ambience is fantastic. Upscale farmhouse but very comfortable and inviting. The menu has extraordinary items. The food was delicious. We will most certainly be back.

This place used to be the original Smashing Grapes location, but now it’s Farmhouse Grill, and they’ve done an amazing job with the space. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, warm, and inviting. There’s even a private wine-tasting room, which adds a nice touch. It’s also really family-friendly, which I love.

I’ve been here twice with my family, and everything we’ve ordered so far has been good; even the craft non-alcoholic drinks. They’re handmade, super flavorful, and taste fresh, just like the rest of the food. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the service has been excellent both times.

The first time we went, everything was delicious. I’ve tried a good chunk of the menu by now, and I make it a point to try something new each visit. On my last visit, I ordered the meatloaf, and honestly, that one didn’t impress me. It was heavy and a bit dry; not the tender, juicy kind I was expecting. Compared to their other dishes, it just didn’t hit the same.

Still, I’d absolutely go back. It’s close to home, the overall vibe is great, and it’s a solid spot for a family dinner or even a nice date night. Definitely worth checking out.

Naiya is amazing! We ordered the Chesapeake pasta and it was so filling and tasted great! Naiya recommended us options for sangrias and when we couldn’t decide, she continued to go above and beyond and brought us samples! We ended up choosing the peach and apple sangria, which we both thought paired well with the pasta! As it was our first time here, we were definitely blown away by the food and experience. I will definitely recommend and come back again!
