Cool place to have lunch with southern hospitality. Food was delicious and service spot on. I had the Carolina Pulled Pork bbq platter with potato salad and smoked Mac & Cheese. Sooo good. Hubby had the Chief burger and he said that was delicious and juicy. Go check it out if you are in town!

First time, and this place is Exceptional! We shared the pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, broccoli salad, fries, and hash browns, and we could not decide on a favorite! They were all Divine! I also had the Dr Enuf to drink and it was like a smooth sprite with a hint of ginger… delicious! We were there towards the end of the night, and appreciated seeing that when cleaning up after guests they are Very thorough. As a bonus, they are doing a toy drive where for every toy firetruck brought in, they give a dessert. Oh, and we got the Peanut Butter Oreo pie, and it is awesome too! Large portions, great service, great food… and this is a place we will happily be coming back to, often!! Our food for 2 came to $32, drinks added $6, and $6 for dessert… so also a very good price for what we got!

This was a cute little restaurant I drove by and it had a lot of cars in the parking lot, where all the other places had maybe one or two cars. So, I popped in to try it out. I figured the locals know what’s good here so I followed the herd. The place offers a downstairs, order at the counter option and then go find yourself a seat. Or, a sit down waiter style restaurant upstairs. I chose the upstairs option. All the staff were super polite and very friendly. We asked what their best seller was and the waitress told me it was the pulled pork and then the pulled chicken. We both ordered a chicken dish. Me “the volunteer “ a BBQ grilled chicken breast, on an onion roll bun, with pineapple, lettuce, Swiss cheese and Dave’s mayo. It was delicious. My buddy ordered the pulled chicken with slaw and steak fries. The pulled chicken looked more like chicken strips on a bun. It didn’t come with anything in it, but nose pulled sandwiches don’t. He said it was very good and had no complaints. I did feel his sandwich didn’t look as tasty as mine, but that doesn’t affect the flavor at all. Would I go here again? YES! Would I tell others about it? YES! Did I like the staff and service? Absolutely! What a great experience.

Love the history of the building and that it wasn’t lost in making it a restaurant!
Best pulled pork we’ve ever had! The peanut butter pie, and pecan pie square were great as well! Alisha, our sever, was fantastic! Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in JC!

I will forever be supporting this restaurant!! We got a meal train meal from someone at church for this restaurant last week, we had never heard of it as we are fairly new to the area. I shortly saw that the restaurant themselves had signed up for a meal and when I called to ask them about it, I was in complete shock. Not only did they donate an additional day of meals for my family, but they even hand delivered it to my door. The generosity of this place is unmatched and you truly cannot find service like this these days. And the topper is, THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! We loved absolutely everything we received both times and we will most definitely be coming by in person and recommending it to friends & family. Thank you Firehouse for your generosity and thank you for the delicious food! The whole family (toddlers included) loved it all!

The restaurant had an great interior decor and was clean, even the bathrooms. The staff was dressed neatly, were attentive and friendly. They genuinely seemed to want to make your dining experience pleasurable. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend going one block off the main road to get here. Plenty of parking too

Cozy, inviting environment; the decor was well-themed. Happy and helpful staff. The food came out quickly, but it is worth noting this was on a Tuesday evening. The food tasted very fresh and good, and the pricing was fair. It is worth the trip and definitely a unique dining experience.

Ordered ribs at 4:30 and the server said it would be an additional 20 minutes until they were ready.
In about 10 minutes out came the rib dinner and no one else’s food. After about 15 more minutes every one else’s food showed up cold…
When the one getting a full rack of ribs tried to pull the bone out, they were tough. Could barley cut them apart with a steak knife. When each of the server, the manager Justin and owner Tom checked on our table, they were informed of the tough ribs etc, and didn’t offer to do anything about it. When it was time for dessert, there wasn’t any banana pudding left….@5:30pm??? Said the chocolate dessert didn’t have coconut, a couple people got it and it was full of coconut. They have a huge dislike of coconut. What about people who are allergic to coconut? This could have been a bad experience.
