Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.

A special thank you to our server Mielie, who was incredibly kind and patient. We asked if it was possible to move to a seat with a swing, and she very patiently helped us change tables. Her service was warm and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely come back again!
What a fantastic find!
We visited Mowgli on Friday lunchtime and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t busy. We sat by the window — a perfect spot! The beautiful restaurant manager was polite, friendly, and very informative, which made us feel really welcome.
As it was our first visit, we decided to try the taster menu, and it was an excellent choice. We both had cocktails — I went for the mango with chilli, and it was honestly the best cocktail I’ve ever had.
The restaurant itself is stunning — spotless, stylish, and full of atmosphere. The design makes you feel like you’re somewhere really special. Our server was amazing, working so hard and still managing to be friendly and attentive throughout.
The food was fantastic — the curries were rich and flavourful, and my favourite was the chicken. I also loved that they served chips; it was a nice touch!
Overall, a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return and try something new from the menu next time!
Pleasant service & extremely tasteful food. Great cocktails.
Service:
It was terrible. It took 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. They brought the wrong food to our table twice. We asked three different people for our bill, and it ended up taking 40 minutes from the first time we asked.
Food:
– the fish dahl was the most watery Dahl that my friend ever had
– the roti was so inconsistently cooked. Most of it was burnt and hard. Some of it was undercooked. It was all flavorless.
Value:
– At first you might think that the prices are good, but that’s because the portion sizes are tiny. You need to order multiple starters and a main to be full, or at least two main entrees.
Sticky chicken is great in taste.
Bunny chow is good but each of food in my view is significantly overpriced..
Mango lassi for 5.75 GBP is too much.. pricey..
Child apple juice 3.75 is also too much..
Money wrap is good too but none of the dishes considering the quantity should not go beyond 7-8 GBP..
Food quantity vs price is something needs to be corrected in order for people to visit more often…
The service and presentation are good as well, so it definitely feels like a nice place to spend time. However, when it comes to the food, I felt it didn’t quite live up to the expectations. The flavours were decent but not as authentic or memorable as I had hoped for. It’s alright for a casual meal, but not necessarily the best choice if you’re looking for truly authentic dishes.
Great experience all round.
