Stopped here for lunch today. Great lunch special of a small salad, a personal pizza, and a soft drink or iced tea. The salads were fresh and the pizzas were perfectly cooked and delicious. I highly recommend the Luscher sausage supreme and a traditional pepperoni.

Such a wonderful pizza restaurant in Southlake! The young lady working the bar was very welcoming and the staff was very polite and attentive. I’ve been to the location in Plano twice and was blown away by their excellently crafted pizzas and salads. Here, I was in the area and just had to try something I don’t think I remember seeing on the Plano menu. I started with the Sedona Salad and it was loaded with lots of fresh ingredients. It was partially a meal itself as it was so good! And the pizza I tried: with my favorite combination of pesto sauce, sundried tomatoes and artichokes; the Tuscan Trip was the one to go for! With chicken added as well as the rest of the ingredients that comes with it, it was an extraordinary pizza!
As there are currently two locations, Taverna Rossa is a wonderful pizza restaurant worth visiting! Pizza cooked in a stone-fired oven is the way to go!

My wife and I absolutely love this location! We first came here a year ago for our honeymoon cap off. From the food, to the drinks and the service provided, Tavern Rossa is a highly recommended restaurant for special occasions. Our visit last night ended with complimentary champagne and a candle lit dessert for our 1st year anniversary.

Love coming here. I always get pizza, it’s the best. This time I got the “Tuscan Trip” added chicken and went with a light sauce. My wife got the “Chicken Parmigiana” red sauce instead of white sauce. It’s so easy to make changes to your order. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, light music in the background, allowing you to have a conversation without speaking over the music. I’ve never been disappointed with the food and it’s always more than we can eat. Love taking leftovers home to eat later.

Came here on a rainy night when everything else was closed. The storm caught me and my friend and we were hungry. We came here and got some food and let me say, Darlene was the sweetest lady, she had all the good vibes and made us feel at home. The place also looked very nice I liked their little balcony it added the perfect touch to the atmosphere. The food was amazing by the way. I had a cup of the creamiest tomato soup and garlic bread to dip, It was a great appetizer. And i had the chicken parm which includes Alfredo and fried chicken topped with marinara and cheese it also comes with two garlic bread slices it was delish! My total came out to $24 so the prices are also very good!

They have a great gluten free crust. I’ve tried the pasta and wings, but my usual order is a pizza and salad.
The patio is nice and can be enclosed.
They have a full bar with well crafted drinks. It gets noisy with chatter at times. Some nights they have live music.

Taverna Rossa Review – Fantastic Food and Great Service
Taverna Rossa delivered an excellent dining experience that left us eager to come back. The wings were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—a real standout. And the pizza? Hands down, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The crust was just the right mix of crispy and chewy, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced, making every bite unforgettable.
The service was just as impressive. Our server Oscar was attentive without being intrusive, and the pace was perfect for our evening. The drinks were mixed perfectly, rounding out the meal beautifully.
The only small blemish on the experience was the dirty booth seat when we first sat down, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant, and it didn’t detract much from the overall experience.
Taverna Rossa is a must-visit for anyone who loves great pizza and fantastic service. I can’t wait to go back!
