Not as good as I remember, but still one of the best restaurants on Government. The whipped provolone cheese and garlic knots are a must try, the black skillet mushrooms are rich and delicious, and the salted caramel Gelato, and biscoff dark chocolate pudding, are in a class all their own. No need in saying anything further, give them a try if you’re in the area.

Vinny made our experience so memorable and enjoyable. He was so kind and helpful. Rocca is one of our favorites and we always bring anyone visiting to try it.

Service: The staff is kind, but they don’t pay attention to the patrons’ table. We had a lot of stuff on the table, and nobody would remove anything. When we asked for to go boxes, the server put them on top of my bag on the chair because there was no space. She just left without removing anything!
The Food: Tasty. The garlic knots are delicious but full of fat. Too much fat.
The pizza tastes good, but since it looks like it is cooked on the fire, it has a strong burned taste. Something I didn’t like at all was that it was ridiculously thin. I’m talking about paper thin. They look pretty, but they are as thin as a piece of paper.
The salads are good. The gelato could be better.
I definitely will not come back here when I want to eat pizza, but there are more things in the menu I would like to try.

100% the best pizza I’ve had in Baton Rouge. I usually don’t see the point in spending money to get pizza from anywhere other than Costco, but this is definitely my new favorite. The mushroom medley with crispy prosciutto that I got was absolutely outstanding. The crust is amazing and the flavor is on point. The pistachio gelato was also incredible.

I’ve eaten here twice. The first time my pizza was soggy and greasy, but edible. The second time all 3 pizzas at our table came out heavily charred. I usually don’t mind crispy or slightly overcooked pizzas, but these were very burned.
When we spoke to the manager he seemed young, awkward, and unsure of how to run a restaurant. He made a joke about how we wouldn’t be needing go-boxes, made some weird excuse about how sometimes the oven is too hot, never apologized, but did give us a small discount.
I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I won’t be coming back.

Britton was awesome! Hands-down, our favorite restaurant in this sweet little city we call home. The best happy hour and just most consistent food and service, every single time! Always love trying the seasonal menu and seeing what’s new. You will not regret trying the arancini. The only rule is you must always save room for dessert. Hoping the crème brûlée becomes a forever menu item!

An Absolute Gem in Baton Rouge!
Rocco Pizzeria blew us away from the moment we walked in! We kicked things off with the garlic knots—fluffy, golden perfection—and that whipped provolone? Are you kidding me?! Pure magic.
The arancini with crawfish was a knockout—local flavor at its finest and exactly what we were hoping for. But the real showstopper? The Burrata pizza. Huge shoutout to the hostess for that recommendation—our taste buds are still thanking you!
And let’s not forget John, our server—absolutely brilliant. Friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even better.
From the unforgettable food to the incredible staff, Rocco Pizzeria is a full-on vibe. If you’re in Baton Rouge, this spot is a can’t-miss. Go hungry and get ready to be amazed!

Loved the food. The pizza was amazing! That was the best garlic knots I have ever had. The meat ball appetizer was okay 3/5 but I would get it again. The service was good and they were very attentive.

Ordered a pizza and salad to go. As soon as we opened the container, we noticed something moving in our salad.
Don’t recommend their greens from here.

This is the most pathetically dressed $17 pizza. If I wanted lackluster pizza I would have gone to a fast food pizza joint. Normally this is a pizza you would eat with a fork because the potato was thick and they have real chunks of pistachio and there’s more bacon as it is the only protein on the pizza. The cheese is great no complaints on that. But I am paying $17 for pistachio, potato and bacon.
